Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 2.0 suite

The security protection of Microsoft's Windows Live OneCare 2.0 suite is much better than that of the debut version. Add to that a low price, and you have a solid, easy-to-use security product for PC users who don't want to mess too much with software...

Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 2.0 is relatively inexpensive, particularly when you factor in its unique 24-hour free phone support (McAfee and Norton, for instance, retail at around £50). Those who demand best-of-breed protection will still scoff at...

The security protection of Microsoft's Windows Live OneCare 2.0 suite is much better than that of the debut version.

A fairly good result in detecting threats, minimised unnecessary pop-up alerts, status alerts

Slow in updating and responding to new security outbreaks, it required us to approve Google Desktop as a legitimate program

Microsoft Windows Live OneCare 2.0 Security and Utility Suite

Version 2.0 of Microsoft's security and utility suite protects a PC better.

Easy to use ; Cheap

Slow outbreak-response time ; Not very configurable

OneCare is inexpensive, particularly when you factor in its unique 24-hour free phone support. Holdouts for best-of-breed protection will still scoff at OneCare, but other users who don't want to think very hard about security should consider it

Windows Live OneCare 2.0

OneCare 2.0 offers some great new features, but many don't live up to their promise.

Not the best

Got this to replace norton 360 once the subscription had ran out. not much to play about with on this the one care compared to others, can't even see whats in your virus vault. overall, i prefer norton 360.

Great Security Choice

It is intended for home users, or small business without in house IT staff. The interface is basic and can frustrate high end users, but they are not who it is designed for.

Have installed it on a wide variety of machines with no problems yet. Does not slow the PC down noticeably. The file and printer sharing features are a great addition, as well as the improved backup software

Requires high speed internet to load, don't even attempt on dial up. Despite having the disk, most of the install comes from the web

Great product!

I have had this pretty much since Microsoft started publishing it, and the overall experience has been great. If you are unsure about this program, try out the trial version. But make sure you buy it from newegg (even for renewal) because it is cheaper...

This is the third year that I have bought OneCare, and it has worked great. Not only is it virus protection, but it performs all the necessary maintence for you computer too. I recommend OneCare to everyone that uses Windows

I had a few issues with OneCare when I first installed a few years ago, but the issues turned out to be some bugs in Windows and not with OneCare

One Care

But given that this is a one program that dose all of your Virus and firewall and back up its worth the money. and worth the time of makeing two or more accounts.

Its a Cheap way to have some very nice scaners and fire walls on your computer and backed by Microsoft very user Frindly and works with both 32 and 64 bit OS from windows Xp up

The only Problem that i have found is that if you have more then 3 computers in your house hold then you will need to buy 1 copy and make a live account for every 3 computers you have in a house hold
