Insignia NS-CNV43

The Insignia NS-CNV43 offers turn-by-turn directions, plus Google and Twitter integration, all at a reasonable price.

Good value. Touch screen features haptic feedback. Real-time traffic reports. Slick Google Search and Twitter integration. No ads.

Sluggish. Small POI database with some search limitations. Monthly fees kick in after three months.

Insignia NS-CNV43 Internet connected GPS review: Insignia NS-CNV43 Internet connected GPS

The Insignia NS-CNV43 piqued our interest with its Internet-connectivity for live traffic, fuel prices, and other services; however, its claim of being the first ever GPS device with Twitter integration and the low price are what really excited us.

The Insignia NS-CNV43 offers real-time traffic, Google search for points of interest, and a host of other connected services through its cellular data connection. It's also the first GPS device to integrate Twitter. It has haptic feedback, which helps...

Slow booting, positioning, and routing somewhat sour the navigating experience. Its subscription fees for data service are expensive compared with the competition. The hands-free calling system is limited in functionality.

The Insignia NS-CNV43 offers advanced Internet-connected features that we like at a very competitive price, but its shaky implementation of key basic features and slow performance spoil the navigation experience.

Insignia NS-CNV43 GPS

The Insignia NS-CNV43 is a GPS that offers your basic navigational features with a twist. What is the twist? Well, the twist comes in the form of Internet-connectivity, which brings with it several useful features.

When you search for POIs you could also find yourself getting a bit frustrated at the lag time. Then again, at its affordable price point, you really cannot expect the utmost in speedy performance
