Garmin Edge 1000 GPS bike computer review

The 1000 is the latest and greatest bike computer from Garmin, with a record-breaking price tag. It links to your smartphone to offer some incredible features, but the problem is that the best one of all will inevitably have to filter down to cheaper...

Garmin Edge 1000 review

Data, data, data! ; Compact and lightweight ; Wi-Fi, Ant+, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity ; Easy to use mapping

Lackluster display, compared to most modern phones ; Riding with maps takes some getting used to ; Battery life could be better

Great but pricy

Bought this for a trip bicycle touring around Japan, a great bit of kit with a reasonably intuitive interface once you have tried it a couple of times. Just very expensive in comparison to car satnav
