Sony finally brings its eBook reader to the UK, but was it worth the wait? Updated with video review.
The eBook revolution won’t be for everyone, but if you’re willing to give digital books a try, the Sony Reader is well worth investing in. The screen on this device is nothing short of staggering, and with 6,800 page turns between battery charges, you...

Sony's Reader is a leatherbound handheld device that allows you to carry hundreds of novels and reference books in electronic form. This latest version can now play MP3 music files and also recognise a greater range of file formats.
This lightweight and attractive electronic book reader will either delight or aggrieve bookworms, so sound them out if you’re thinking of treating someone for Christmas. We’d prefer to see more generous onboard memory included and Mac support, yet...

A sharp marketeer called the Reader the ‘iPod of books'. But is it as revolutionary as that?

Ebooks have been around for a long time, but they've never really captured the public's imagination. One way to get over that hurdle is with well designed, easy to use, cool-looking kit. Sony's Reader PRS-505 is ...
The Reader PRS-505 is the most elegant device of its type we have seen. It is expensive, though, and you may want to abandon Sony's PC software. If you are a Mac user you'll need to find another software solution anyway, as the Mac is not supported.
