superb media player including BR data discs

Highly recommended, especially if you have media to view on Blu-ray data discs. I cannot tell why they called these refurbs... probably returned to LG because of firmware issues, then they just fixed up the issue and now selling them for a song! Grab...

plays Blu-Ray and DVDs well, with no difference seen between this player and $130-$150 players on my main home entertainment system (7.2 Yamaha/Polk setup on 54" Panasonic plasma), but it really shines in its flexibility to play media from USB drives...

I have not upgraded the firmware, out of fear something bad might happen (as read in other reviews). Not much of a con, because I haven't noticed any missing or flawed functionality, but it does tend to make one wonder. Or maybe I'm just naturally...

Not worth the money

Even for $35, this unit isn't worth it. My Samsung I sold when I bought this one was MUCH better.

Small form factor, runs cool and quiet

Very poor quality overall. Buggy firmware, handles different disks with a high disparity, inconsistent. Plays some disks so poorly the picture is grainy and very poor. The remote is a piece of junk

Basic Blu-ray player

Playing with the audio settings into my Yamaha receiver made a big difference. Default was PCM with 2 channels at 48 mhz. After trying several options, I settled on Bitstream at 192 mhz. That sound was a lot better. You could really hear the difference.

It worked after a firmware upgrade. Sounds good after tinkering with the audio settings. Picture looks good

Player kept on resetting a couple minutes into "Brave" at a specific scene. After updating the firmware it worked correctly. This player is very basic. Limited connections

Good player

Price, Functional, Does what it supposed to do. Friendly user interface

Not a terrible con, but the signal from the manual control has a range of about 12-15 feet, which is better then some older players have but shorter than some other blue players have. Also the signal does not triangulate if manual is facing the...

Small & Cheap

I was going to hook this up to 1st generation hdmi television which has no audio through hdmi cable. Audio must be hooked up via left and right rca inputs. I should have checked the description better before I ordered this unit. Price was right so will...

Small unit that appears to work well and is relatively cheap in cost

No left and right audio out to accompany hdmi connection

Cheap, simple and reliable

Bought this unit in April from Betta Electrical on special for $77 complete with a HDMI cable. Easy to set up as a DVD player. Very easy to use with a clear menu system which is easy to navigate although the remote control is relatively small. Cheap,...

Simple, Cheap, Works as advertised. Highly recomended

I have used this to replace my laptop that was my media player for the TV for the last couple of weeks. I didn't need a 3D unit and the price was great. The usb port works with my external hard disk as well as thumb drives. The option of ripping mp3's...

Simple, small. Plays every format video i have tried in it.

Finally a player that has the full feature set

I had almost given up on the search for the living room media centre an yet it appears from nowhere. Sony should own the living room by now but instead delivers pain and suffering to its customers with such reliability you wonder how the company...

Plays mkv avi .mp4 and .vobs in a video-ts folder

Remote is ridiculously small but integration with lg tv a nice extra
