The DJI Mini 2 brings refinements galore, including 4K video, boosted controls, and staggering range. It's a brilliant little drone.
Intuitive navigation Compact, convenient drone Great battery life
Pricier than predecessor No new camera hardware No follow mode
Still in a league of its own, the DJI Mini 2 is the perfect entry-level drone for beginners looking to get to grips with flying, capturing, and editing birds-eye views of beautiful landscapes and cityscapes (where permitted). Whether you opt for the...

With more updates and improvements than it first appears, the Mini 2 is a superb entry-level drone that punches above its 249g weight.

The DJI Mini 2 boasts boasts proper 4K video capture and upgraded motors, all while continuing to fly under the FAA radar thanks to its 249 gram takeoff weight.
Proper 4K video capture ; Handles windy conditions ; Stable connection with OcuSync 2.0 ; Ridiculously compact size
Lacks obstacle avoidance sensors ; Terrible low-light performance

DJI's second-generation entry-level drone, the Mini 2 ($449.99), gets a bit of a rebrand, dropping the Mavic moniker that's long identified the company's small, folding quadcopter series. It costs a bit more than the first-generation Mavic Mini, but...
Stabilized 4K camera Raw and JPG photo modes Automated Quickshots Long flight time Stronger motors and connection than Mavic Mini GPS and other safety features No FAA registration required
Still no color profiles for JPGs and video Omits obstacle avoidance and HDR Doesn't include ActiveTrack or Hyperlapse
With long battery life, a robust wireless connection, and 4K video, the DJI Mini 2 is the best drone you'll find for less than $500.

90% VERDICT The DJI Mini 2 might be small but it's huge on features and capable of handling windy conditions. It's an ideal choice for beginners who want a real drone and not a toy and one that can produce amazing videos and images. Pros Small and...

The DJI Mini 2 takes everything that made its predecessor popular and adds in new features like 4K video capture and OcuSync 2.0 for extended range.

The ultra-lightweight DJI Mini 2 drone does an impressive job of balancing features, weight, and price
Light and compact ; Excellent battery life ; No registration needed ; 4K, Raw & fully stabilized camera
Limited object tracking ; Price hike over Mavic Mini ; Better, but not flawless, in crosswind ; QuickShots are 1080P
The DJI Mini 2 is the drone the flying community had hoped for last time; a premium machine which costs significantly less than other high-end drones, side-steps some of the legal frustrations, but still has a stabilized camera, 4K video and Raw...

While there are few improvements over the original, the DJI Mini 2 is still the best drone for most people.
While the Mini 2 costs about $50 more than its predecessor, it still remains the best drone for most people. You’ll want to pick up an extra battery or two, because you won’t want to stop flying.
