DJI Mavic Pro review: DJI's super-compact, foldable drone packs in plenty of intelligent features
Brilliantly portable ; Nice 4K footage and 12MP photos ; Decent flight time ; Numerous smart flight features
Images suffer a little in low light
A small drone with serious power, safety features and agility.

Small on size, big on brains
Follow mode ; Gesture controls ; App-only accessibility
Unremovable camera and gimbal
DJI's most portable drone yet packs in all the advanced features we'd expect, plus a few new ones to make quadcopters more accessible than ever before.

DJI made a big statement launching the Mavic Pro drone. It's hard to think of a better drone out there at the same price point as the Mavic Pro. It's nearest competitor, in terms of price, is the GoPro Karma which costs pretty much the same amount if...
Super portable design, lots of smart technology, decent battery life and camera quality
Return to home feature and gestures didn't work reliably in testing
It's hard to think of a better drone out there at the same price point as the Mavic Pro. It's nearest competitor, in terms of price, is the GoPro Karma which costs pretty much the same amount if you want the camera included.

Up in the air with the Mavic Pro, DJI's portable powerhouse of a drone
Both drone and controller are incredibly compact and portable ; All the advanced features you’d expect from a bigger drone ; Great photo and video quality
Compact legs mean being more choosy with take-off and landing zones ; Smaller, lighter body means high winds make flying trickier than with a Phantom
A real marvel of miniaturisation, the Mavic is the ultimate hobbyist drone. It’s not stable enough for video pros, but still takes fantastic footage and is smart enough not to crash while you’re concentrating on the camera.

The DJI Mavic Pro is a pretty expensive drone, but is it worth splashing out on? We like its compact design, but you'll have to read our in-depth review for our full verdict on whether this drone is a dream or a nightmare to fly, and whether you'll be...

We finally got our hands on a DJI drone … Sorry, not one, but actually two drones from DJI. The DJI Mavic Pro and the smaller DJI Spark. A big thanks to DJI for supplying the drones. We'll be comparing the two drones in terms of video quality, ease of...

I’ve always had my doubts about flying a drone (any drone), fearing I’ll damage and crash it. Normally, learning to fly a drone involves many hours of practice (and crashes), due to its steep learning curve. But after playing with both the DJI Mavic...

This is how you build a personal drone.
Light ; Small ; Foldable ; Easy launch ; Excellent flier ; Small, near-perfect remote ; Excellent image quality
Remote can get a little annoying with all its alerts.
Not just a great flier, the DJI Mavic Pro is a powerful, versatile drone that's small enough to share space in your backpack with your laptop.

An unbelievably good flying experience from a folding drone, and at a reasonable price, too
The one downside to the DJI Mavic Pro is that, unlike the currently unavailable GoPro Karma, you’re not getting a professional-level action camera into the bargain. But the image quality is good enough, and the rest of the package is so convincingly...
