DJI Mavic Air review: Packing in incredible portability and fantastic image quality, the DJI Mavic Air comfortably takes the crown of king of the skies.
Incredibly compact and convenient to carry around ; Easy to fly with intelligent flight modes ; Great video quality ; HDR and panoramic still images ; Includes built-in storage
Need to opt for the Fly More Combo to get the most out of it ; Switching between control methods can be fiddly
The DJI Mavic Air is the new consumer drone to beat, packing in incredible portability and fantastic image quality.

Mavic Air is the perfect portable drone, thanks to its ease of use, smooth, 3-axis gimbal, gesture controls and smart capture of stunning 4K footage
Impeccably compact and portable ; Smooth 4K video ; Gesture controls
Battery life could be better ; No side sensors

This is the pocketable 4K drone you want in 2018
Incredible portability ; 4K video at up to 100Mbps; 12MP HDR stills ; Near-perfect obstacle avoidance ; 8GB internal storage
Slightly jerky gimbal controls ; Could have better range ; Need multiple batteries for a great flying experience
A small drone with huge ambitions, the DJI Mavic Air packs 4K video recording, a three-axis gimbal, an upgraded obstacle avoidance system and onboard storage into a compact and foldable form factor that easily slips into a jacket pocket. You’d be hard...

While not perfect, the Mavic Air is easily one of the most impressive drones to date. It's portable, powerful and packed with features. What's more,
Portable design means it's easy to carry around ; Full of features ; Quick Shot modes are a highlight ; Battery life is decent for a drone this size
ActiveTrack tracking didn't work reliably ; Video was often oversaturated ; Auto exposure slow to play catch-up ; App menu system is still quite complex
While not perfect, the Mavic Air is easily one of the most impressive drones to date. It's portable, powerful and packed with features. What's more, its batteries last far longer than the smaller Spark.

Clear a space in your backpack for DJI's best drone yet...
Incredibly portable ; Very good video and stills quality ; A cinch to fly
Battery life still quite restrictive ; Quite noisy when nearby
The best non-professional drone you can buy, the Mavic Air takes flying cameras to new gadget heights

DJI's Mavic Air is its smallest fold-up drone yet and offers the video quality of a Mavic Pro in an almost-pocketable size. Here's our review.

DJI says that the Mavic Air drone redefines power and portability. Quite the claim, but just how easy is it to fly - and does its camera take stunning aerial snaps and videos? It's pretty expensive for a drone, so make sure you consult our expert first...

The DJI Mavic Air is a stunning drone: small enough to squeeze in a pocket, but a brilliant flying camera in every way
To be honest, though, it feels a little mean saying anything negative at all about the DJI Mavic Air because it’s absolutely amazing. It’s a drone that you can fold up and slip into a small bag or large pocket. It can be flown with your phone or by...

Thanks to DJI, we'll be taking a quick look at their latest consumer drone – the Mavic Air. This ultraportable drone is compact, light-weight, foldable and offers 4K recording at 30fps. In terms of placement, it sits somewhere between the slightly...
Compact and light-weight ; Super easy to control ; 4K recording ; 3-axis gimbal ; Smartcapture (hand gesture) ; 21 minutes flight time ; Same coverage (range and distance) as Mavic Pro
Pricey
A lot of people have been asking me … why would I want to buy the Mavic Air when I can just buy the Mavic Pro. While others have voice their concerns, and wondered why DJI would want to cannibalize its own consumer drone business, with many different...

DJI Mavic Air - intro In his first article and video for Coolsmartdrone.com Coolsmartphone.com, Lukasz unboxes the latest drone from DJI, the Mavic Air,
There are of course, higher-end options like the prosumer Phantom 4 Pro/Advanced or the professional Inspire 2 (with micro four-thirds sensors and replaceable lenses), but for the majority of uses, and especially for anyone who travels a lot, the Mavic...
