Just Don't Buy This Product

Cheap prices

This product seems to be useless, less features compare to other products, only play two formats movies

Sharp picture, but...

There must be other Digital Photo Frames available that are easier to use. I have yet to figure out how to copy pictures directly from my CF card to the frame's memory. I would not recommend this product to a friend.

Great, clear picture. Can be set up in landscape or portrait mode

Nothing intuitive about its use. Lousy, lousy documentation. Included Quick Start Guide is just that--tells you how to set it up and what its features are. There is no available user MANUAL to tell you how to use the product

Good frame, but...

Nice frame, but I prefer the 10.4" Rosewill frame, even through it is only 640x480.

Sharp display, looks nice, easy to use

8 of the 319 jpegs I have do not display properly. Won't automatically enlarge an image to fill the frame if the resolution of the jpeg is less than 800x600

Great picture quality

Had to take an egg off for the lack of random slideshow and poor manual. Hopefully Viewsonic can add-in a random mode during a firmware update.

Sharp picture ; Remote comes in handy ; Pretty straight forward to use. My parents and grandparents can operate it

No random slideshow, it just plays in the order that they are put on the card/internal memory ; The manual lists the options, but it doesn't explain them

Very cheap looking frame

The quality of the pictures is good but overshowded by the cheap look. Many other better looking frames with same quality of display.

Good resolution

White plastic frame has a very cheap look and feel. Pictures are somewhat dark. Menu somewhat not too intuitive

Simple to use, great picture quality

Sometimes we just want to take something very simple to use and try to complicate things. This unit has many adjustments but the default settings are just great. True, some photos do not expand to the full size of the screen and you could make...

Great Display quality, very easy to use, i just dragged and dropped all the pictures in the ViewSonic portable drive and the pictures started to show up on the frame display

Good Res, Some Bad

I used Pocket Divx Encoder to reduce my videos to smaller res for them to work on this. XVID support requires FourCC code to be 'XVID' - had to download a fourCC changer to change the AVI codes.

Excellent Resolution. Good contrast and brightness. XVID (w MP3 audio track) movie mode, most units out there only do MJPEG. MP3 while slideshow. Clock and Calendar mode makes this a lot more useful than just a picture frame

Order of picture is fixed. Video sound can be soft unless pre-amplified in AVI. *Missing Cables*! Unit supports a 2.5mm (yup, not a std 3.5mm) to 3 RCA plug to connect to TV, but doesn't come with it. I know, I ordered 2 units and both don't have it....

Nice Frame

Good frame for the money, wish it had interchangeable frames and random slide show, but built well, nice sturdy stand. Good Display, which is the most important thing anyways. Hoping to see a random feature added in a future firmware update. Great...

Great Display: bright, crisp, good contrast. Higher Resolution 800x600. Plays MP3s, video, has a clock and calendar function with alarm that shows the slide-show concurrently

At wide angles, the display starts to blur earlier then I had anticipated, but doesn't effect normal use. No random slide show order. You can only set speed, transition type (including random transitions) and standard or smart framing... I haven't...

Looks nice, useless interface

I bought this for my non-technical in-laws, and it's an embarrassment. Sure, it satisfies the checkboxes for features, but in this day and age there's no excuse for the firmware which appears to have been written by a bunch of overworked aspbergers...

Good screen, decent resolution. 4x3 aspect ratio makes more sense. Most P&S cameras produce that, SLRs wider (3x2). So SLR pics have slight letterbox, but most importantly portrait orientation pictures are not as tiny as they would be with the wider...

Interface is awful. If there's a way to display pics in anything but alpha order, I can't find it, and the cursory documentation is no help. Even when you start a slide show, you can't just hit the left and right arrows to manually move through it....
