Aluratek 10 Inch Digital Photo Frame review: Aluratek 10 Inch Digital Photo Frame

Aluratek 10 Inch Digital Photo Frame

The Aluratek ADMPF210 has a nice wooden bezel, good 1,024x768-pixel LCD screen, and its Separate Windows mode gives a nice twist to the usual slide show.

The frame doesn't include any wireless capability, video playback is hit or miss, the speakers don't sound very nice, and the frame can't automatically size down images when copying to the built-in 256MB of memory.

The Aluratek ADMPF210's nice wooden bezel and 1,024x768-pixel screen make it an attractive choice to display still images, but it falls short when trying to play back videos, and its speakers can't do justice to your MP3s.

Failed in 3 days

Aluratek's frames are also picky about what pictures they will show. Some JPGs that showed fine in WinXP's picture viewer would not work on these frames.

Compact size, and it worked as a digital frame for a while. lots of USB & flash card options for getting pictures to the internal memory

2 of my 3 units failed after only 3 days. Both of the lamps failed. The firmware still works on one, but not on the other, and they are equally useless for actually showing pictures now. I'll be surprised if the third one still works a week from now

Very satisfied customer

I got this frame as a birthday present in July 2007 from newegg.com and have never ever had a problem with it. It survived college and several moves. It is now a permanent fixture on my dest at work. It runs 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for the last 9...

Good picture quality, no need to resize images, durable, large screen size, good price, plays MP3s, great speakers (can get very loud), easy navigation screens, user friendly for "non-technical" people, you can play MP3s while a slideshow is going on,...

You must keep the remote with you to use all of the features. It has buttons on the back of the frame but you can't access all the features with just those buttons ; Another con is that you can't play videos unless the videos are in a certain (less...

Excellent Frame

The tech support is also excellent for giving me the kind of knowledge I need to know about the frame.

This is an excellent frame, the quality of the resolution is so far above with the other brands I have bought. This is the frame that I really really recomment to my friends and relatives. I would give this frame 5 stars from scale 1 to 5. This frame...

Perfect frame to buy now

Aluratek ADMPF210 10.5" 800 x 600 TRUE DIGITAL Digital Photo Frame with 256MB Memory - Black - Retail

Works and arrived intact. Reasonable price for 1024x768

I can't give more *'s because of the poor software. Won't do random slideshow nor display images for more than 30 seconds. It has a wake up timer that doesn't work right. Remote is cheap. And the 'real wood' frame comes from the plastic tree. Image is...

Great Picture quality easy to use

I did find out that you can enter slideshow mode by holding the enter button for three seconds when I misplaced the remote once though...Now I just velcro on to the back which works well. Also, I use windows XP and the frame is recognized instantly...

The image quality is really good on this frame. Normally I do not bother to write reviews (who has the time) but I really thought this product deserved a good rating. I am a graphic artist and really am detailed when it comes to pictures. I was not...

I wish it had a place to store the remote on the back of the frame

Bad Frame

Alurtek customer service gave me the run around regarding the screen resolution and put me on endless hold. When I called back, no answer. I will never buy their products again!

big screen, cheap

Screen is not 1024x768. I did a test image and came up with 640x480, which explains why the image quality is so poor ; Also the on-board memory only holds around 120 pictures regardless of pictures size. I had 40 MB of photos fill it up when I got to...

2nd look

I'm sending it back because I went to a retail store and compared the Kodak 10" frame with this one and it was night and day. The Kodak looked like my pictures. The Aluratek didn't. Very disappointing. I emailed a long and detailed message to Aluratek...

My previous review was a little premature. It's a nice wood frame, picture and software work but are nothing to write home about. However

The controls are basic and have "asian-style" stickers, not very evenly applied, next to the control buttons: a bit tacky ; And...here's why I'm sending it back. The display image is decidedly undersaturated...perhaps 30% or so less than what it looks...
