Fujifilm X100S

Hands-on: The same classic X100 design with improved image quality and performance.

Fujifilm has approached the X100S in the right way. It hasn’t changed anything that couldn’t do with a tweak or two, simply sliding-in the improvements made in the cameras released since the introduction of the X100 in 2011. It’s seems an excellent...

Fujifilm X100S review

The Fujifilm X100S is an updated luxury compact with the world's fastest auto focus

Retro styling ; Unique viewfinder ; Lots of manual controls

Very expensive ; Small LCD screen ; No dedicated video button

Fuji X100S review

Fuji makes 70 improvements to its top-end compact

Detail-rich images ; Bright lens ; Retro-style controls ; Solid build

Filters are JPEG only ; Bulky ; Limited continuous AF

The Fuji X100S is a very enjoyable and rewarding camera to use, its hybrid viewfinder is superb, the retro-style controls enable quick control over exposure and the advanced filters are available when you fancy a bit of fun.

Fujifilm X100S

The Fujifilm X100S rests in its own niche. It won't really suit all that many picture-takers because there's no zoom available from its fixed 35mm f/2.0 equivalent lens and physical dials are set up in a retro fashion that may confuse the mass market....

Retro design, hybrid viewfinder with wider-than-100% optical viewfinder and electronic overlay/full-time EVF options, improvements to autofocus compared to original X100, solid build quality, decent image quality, digital split image and peaking make...

At over a grand its undeniably expensive (X-E1 with a lens is less), no true ISO 100 sensitivity, exposure compensation dial still knocks out of place fairly easily, small LCD screen given chunky overall design, autofocus can be inaccurate/fail to...

When it comes to buying a specialist camera there's a lot to dissect and chew on. As we alluded to in our opening words of this review, the X100S isn't going to be suitable for a huge audience - but that, in some regard, is part of what makes this...

Fujifilm Finepix X100S

Fujifilm's portable Finepix X100S is the second entrant in our retro camera round-up, and it comes armed with a beefy 16.3-Megapixel sensor and both a LCD display and a viewfinder with two modes - but is it enough to take the top-spot? Hit play to find...

Fujifilm X100S

Don't be fooled by the Fujifilm X100S's retro exterior; it's a modern, full-featured digital camera that impressed us enough to earn our Editors' Choice award.

The X100S is pretty speedy, directly addressing criticisms about the operation speed of its predecessor. It starts and grabs a shot in about 1.3 seconds, and in good light can focus and fire in about 0.2-second. In low light, focus took an average of...
