Fujifilm X-E3 review

The Fujifilm X-E3 introduces new features and functionality, some of which will soon be made available to other X-series users.

Supports Bluetooth in addition to Wi-Fi connectivity ; Faster AF-C tracking in zone and tracking modes ; Introduces Touch function to activate pre-assigned functions ; Smaller and more compact than existing X-E-series models

Top-plate Fn button can be knocked when adjusting exposure compensation ; Data port is USB 2 and micro-USB, rather than USB 3 and Type-C ; Doesn’t handle particularly well with large zoom lenses ; Fairly short battery life

Those who choose the X-E3 are unlikely to be disappointed with their decision. It’s a sound mirrorless camera that puts in a highly respectable performance.

Fujifilm X-E3 review

Fujifilm's smallest X Series camera packs quite a punch

Rich and detailed images ; Tactile controls ; Refined handling ; Decent AF system ; Film simulation modes

Limited touchscreen control ; Battery life could be better ; Fixed display

Fujifilm might have shrunk the camera, but it hasn't sacrificed performance. The X-E3 is everything you'd want in a compact-sized mirrorless camera.

Fujifilm X-E3 review

Fuji's hot streak continues with this ravishing rangefinder...

Small and lightweight ; Great autofocus ; Cracking image quality

Screen is fixed rather than tilt-able ; Can feel a bit imbalanced with larger lenses

A smaller, lighter and cheaper X-Pro2, the X-E3 delivers some excellent results with very few compromises

Fujifilm X-E3 review

  (Rating Hidden)

The third version of Fujifilm's X-series, the Fujifilm X-E3 is the latest mid-range mirrorless camera to hit the market. It's very similar to the DSLR-like X-T20 camera in terms of specs, so we're expecting big things based on previous performance....

Find out how the Fujifilm X-E3 performs - Fujifilm's compact 24mp mirrorless camera with a built-in EVF, 4K video and 3inch touch-screen.

Using the same 24mp sensor as the Fujifilm X-Pro2 , X-T2 , and X-T20 , the Fujifilm X-E3 produces images with excellent colour and noise performance. The design and handling of the camera are good, with a premium feel and style, as well as a smaller...

We shoot with the new Fujifilm X-E3, Fujifilm's compact mirrorless camera with a built-in EVF, 4K video and 3inch touch-screen.

Fujifilm X-E3 review

The Fujifilm X-E3 sacrifices very little to bring professional style and performance to a friendlier price.

Wonderful design ; Great image quality ; Strong lens ecosystem ; 4K video ; Great value

Lacks some direct access control ; No tilt screen ; No internal stabilization

With a higher resolution sensor, faster processor, much-improved autofocus, 4K video, and a sleek new design, the X-E3 is the true upgrade to the X-E2 that we’ve now been waiting years for. It’s a beautifully made, easy to use, and technically...

Fujifilm X-E3

The Fujifilm X-E3 delivers excellent image quality in a slim body, making it a perfect option for photographers who like to pack light—as long as you pair it with the right lens.

Slim design. Excellent image quality. Speedy focus. 8fps burst shooting. Integrated EVF. Solid control layout. Crisp touch LCD. 4K video. Wi-Fi.

Omits in-body flash. Not weather sealed. No in-body stabilization. 4K footage shows rolling shutter effect. Display doesn't tilt. Pricey.

The Fujifilm X-E3 is a lovely little camera. It delivers strong image quality, right up there with other cameras that use the 24MP APS-C image sensor format, and won't leave you wanting for focus or burst speed. It's ideally suited for photographers...

Fujifilm X-E3 Review

The X-E3 is the company's latest rangefinder-styled mirrorless camera, a 24MP X-Trans model. The most obvious change is the increased reliance on a touchscreen, but how does this affect what it's like to shoot with? Our review explores this and more.
