A decade on, can Canon go back to the future?
Well built and solid ; Fast starting up
Light on features ; Indifferent image quality
A rehashed design, too few controls and the image quality is decidedly lacklustre. Disappointing from Canon

Last year marked the 10th anniversary of Canon's Elph cameras. The line started with a film camera, though the company's SD line of digital compacts still carries the Digital Elph moniker. Despite its four-digit number, Canon positions the PowerShot...
Excellent image quality; solid build quality; speedy performance; optical viewfinder; face detection.
No manual exposure controls.

Colours - viewfinder - macro shot - build quality - advanced movies - indoor (lowlight) photos
Shutter delay with flash turned on
The Canon IXUS 70 is a good quality pocket sized digital camera. Although you do need to pay a bit more for this model than other digital camera with a similar specification you will find above average picture and build quality. Well worth a close look.

The propaganda The Canon Ixus 70's smart, minimalist look is inspired by the original Ixus design. It's finished in silver and black and despite its small dimensions it feels incredibly well built and solid
