Zotac Zbox nano XS AD11 Plus review

The smallest full PC we've ever seen

Incredibly small ; Decent general PC power

No operating system ; All installation via USB

A relatively powerful mini PC, ideal as a media centre or bedroom machine, but lacks the raw performance for anything much more taxing.

Smaller than a Mac Mini, is this dinky powerhouse of a computer a PC for the post-PC era?

Zotac ZBox Nano-XS AD11 Plus Review - FunkyKit

We have something different here today courtesy of Zotac! It's a tiny little computer. If the box is to believed it is smaller in all dimensions (and power usage!) than some of my fans for CPU cooling. This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how...

I was excited when Zotac told us they were sending the ZBox Nano XS AD11 Plus (what a name!) for review, the concept of pocket size “desktop” computers is one that I rather like. I’ve been hoping that such things would eventually exist for quite a...

Zotac ZBox Nano-XS AD11 Plus Review

Zotac ZBox Nano-XS AD11 Plus is probably one of the smallest yet complete PC system on the market. It's powered by an AMD E-450 Dual-Core APU running at 1.65 GHz, and comes with 2Gb of DDR3 ram as well as a 64Gb SSD!

Tiny, it'll fit anywhere ; Solid performance, totally usable as a desktop replacement ; Good build quality, some nice innovative ideas too ; Quiet for it's performance and size ; Looks awesome ; 64GB SSD is surprisingly fast ; Built in card reader is a...

WiFi dongle balky at times ; Could do with more USB ports ; Not silent ; Factory thermal paste could be (significantly) better ; No OS or means to install an OS included ; You pay for the small size, larger similarely spec'd units are cheaper

ZOTAC ZBOX Nano XS AD11 Plus Review

Tiny 100mm x 100mm footprint, + Hardware accelerated h.264 playback, + Extensive feature set, + Bundled accessories, + Highly responsive for general PC use, + Free XBMC OS, + 2 Year Warranty in the EU

It's very hard not to love ZOTAC's ZBOX nano XS AD11. A tiny footprint coupled with high quality components and impressive feature set - including mSATA SSD, USB 3.0 and HD Audio/Video – add up to a formidable product that is hard to beat within the...

ZOTAC ZBOX Nano XS (AD11 Plus) Review

ZOTAC have been dabbling with HTPCs for a long time now and we've loved what they've done in the past. However, this time they seem to have outdone

The ZOTAC ZBOX nano XS AD11 Plus retails for Rs.25,400, which we feel is a very good price considering the whole package and just how tiny it is. You could build a mini-ITX based HTPC yourself but that will turn out to be more expensive and you’ll...

Zotac ZBox Nano XS AD11 Plus Review

The biggest thing about Zotac's new ZBox Nano XS AD11 Plus may in fact be its name. This new mini PC is so small, it makes the diminutive ZBox Nano AD10 look positively fat in comparison.

Slight fan noise and underwhelming driver-install process

Zotac ZBOX nano XS AD11 PLUS

It is actually quite difficult to find something awry with the Zotac ZBOX nano XS AD11 Plus. The unit is not only one of the most compact ones on the market, but it is also constructed well and delivers the performance expected of the AMD E-450...

Very competitive pricing, Extremely compact, Excellent mix of connectivity, Remote control included, Cool ring of light on top that can be turned off, Additional IR receiver included, Wireless connectivity via a USB Antenna, Excellent construction...

Rather loud in comparison to other E-450 based systems, Gets quite hot under our benchmarks, Wireless solution takes up anUSB port

Zotac Zbox Nano XS AD11 Plus Review

Can this tiny PC play in the big leagues?

Quiet, compact, SSD provides decent speeds

Slightly underwhelming CPU, wireless playback can be a bit choppy

Like many of its previous mini PCs, the Zbox Nano XS comes with a metal plate that can be used to mount the device to the back of any standard LCD monitor equipped with a VESA mount, so you can hide it away – the downside of this is that it might get a...
