I added a 120GB SSD drive to this, by using an adapter to convert the IDE power adapter to the SSD. (Cheap lead). This allowed me to also add in my other 3TB drive. There is 1 extra slot for the SSD. Needed extra SAS cable from old computer. It boots...

No, very pleased with it

I installed a Samsung 850 EVO 250GB 2.5inch SSD and Windows 7 and it boots in about 10 seconds. Runs quiet. The machine delivered had a Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2V motherboard fitted (unlike the GA-H81M-DS2V shown in another review). Relevant info on the...

Great power cost ratio

The psu is a little under powered. I'm sure a 500 watt could be included.

Speed, cost and nearly silent.

Limited expansion potential due to small PSU. Construction is a bit flimsy.

Runs quiet No OS (wanted to run ESXi) Price

None of these an issue for my usage, but possibly for others: No dedicated graphics card. PSU quite small (250W), so albeit room fo expansion, PSU may need upgrading.

works great, very fast and no operating system is perfect as I put Linux on it. Very fast as a server.

I wanted to put in an SSD, had to take power and SATA connections from the CD rom, a floating SATA power connection at least would have been nice.

The processor and ram make this an amazing machine alone. I added an SSD for the OS and I've got a machine that's going to last a good few years.

The 2tb which is a nice size is a slow speed, for the associated processing power.

Fast processor(s), plenty of RAM. Installed my preferred distro (Arch Linux) and everything works. Intel graphics are well supported by the free-software driver. Audio chip has both analogue and HDMI components, and HDMI output tends to get selected by...

Main annoyance is a whiny CPU fan that sounds as if someone is doing the vacuuming next door, especially if there's something CPU-intensive happening. You'd expect something quieter in a PC these days. A little pushing and prodding of the fan housing...
