WinBook PowerSpec MCE 410

The WinBook PowerSpec MCE 410 is an affordable and stylish way to bring PC power and Media Center functionality to your living room. Unfortunately, the lack of a few key high-end components detracts from an otherwise well-rounded Media Center.

Living room-friendly case. Quiet. Easy-to-read digital panel.

So-so speakers. TV tuner just adequate. Insufficient hard drive space for a Media Center.

WinBook PowerSpec MCE 410

If you're looking for a living room-friendly Media Center PC to anchor your home theater, fix your gaze upon the WinBook PowerSpec MCE 410. It's a top-to-bottom home-theater system, complete with a A/V rack-friendly PC case, a 30-inch LCD HDTV, and...

Low price; 30-inch LCD HDTV/monitor; beautiful, versatile rack-mount case.

Wired mouse and keyboard; not the fastest performer.

A home-theater PC and 30-inch LCD for less than two grand? The living room-friendly WinBook PowerSpec 410 is one sweet deal.

HardwareCentral - PowerSpec MCE410 and WinBook LC32 LCD HDTV Review.

Finally, unlike the minitower Media Centers we've reviewed, the infrared receiver for the PowerSpec's remote control is built into the front panel, not an external USB gadget, and doesn't come with an "IR blaster" or extra dongle to let the PC's remote...
