Toshiba Satellite E105-S1802
Sharp design and good build quality; comfortable keyboard and touch pad; backlit keys; lengthy battery life without bulky battery; two-year warranty.
Awful speakers, even for a midsize laptop.
As a general purpose productivity machine, the Toshiba Satellite E105-S1802 strikes a number of right notes. Its dreadful speakers, however, limit its entertainment value

Toshiba Satellite E105-S1602
Sturdy construction and pleasing overall design; comfortable keyboard and touch pad; backlit keys; lengthy battery life without bulky battery; a twice-as-nice two-year warranty.
Uses integrated graphics while other laptops at this price feature dedicated graphics; poor speakers, even for integrated standards.
Toshiba improves on last year's excellent Best Buy Blue Label laptop by slashing the price while serving up a nearly identical machine. Long battery life, a lengthy warranty, and a backlit keyboard highlight Toshiba's winning Satellite E105-S1602.

Toshiba Satellite E105-S1402
Impressive battery life; lengthy warranty; sturdy construction; backlit keyboard and touch-sensitive media-control buttons.
Boxy design won't appeal to all; lacks expansion card slot and FireWire; lousy speakers.
The 14.1-inch Toshiba Satellite E105 is a solid all-around laptop that delivers on Best Buy's Blue Label promises: longer battery life, lightweight design, and lengthy warranty.

Questionable build quality ; High starting price given the configuration
The FM Tuner is a handy feature if you enjoy listening to local radio stations, but these days with almost every station offering an online stream, it is really unneeded. A TV tuner might have been more useful. Reception was fine in our office with no...
