Shuttle's XPC SP35P2 Pro SFF barebones system

Intel's P35 Express has reigned as the enthusiast chipset of choice for Core 2 processors since its introduction last May, and for good reason. The P35 delivers a fantastic combination of performance, features, and overclocking potential with a low...

The flurry of excitement that once permeated the small form factor market appears to have all but died, leaving Shuttle to carry what increasingly feels like a flickering torch. With so little competition in the market, the SP35P2 stands as one of...

Recertified: Shuttle SP35P2-Pro Intel Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Duo Intel Socket T(LGA775) Intel P35 none XPC Barebone

NewEgg suggested calling Shuttle to get the serial key and also reminded me I had a 30-day refund/return so they really tried to address my concern. Overall, satisfied with the product.

Received it the next day and looks brand new

SATA port #1 has problems and the serial key for the fingerprint reader is missing (well, it is a refurb)

The front USB ports not working, but that's probably my fault, maybe I forgot to configure the jumpers on the main board. ALSO not a CON, but DO NOT get the OCZ HPC REAPER memory for this; the extra height of the ram modules due to the heat pipes will...

defective

I have not had any problems with my previous two Shuttle barebones DIY projects.

Low price, arrived quickly, appearance as new

I had thought "recertified" meant that it could be trusted to work as new. At least in my case, it did not work at all. It refused to start up with my verified to be working Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700. It powered up the fans, then gave up, then tried...
