great buy

Nice formfactor, and you can't beat the price. I've been installing ubuntu on these and using them as workstations for my public libraries

My only complaint is that there's no USB port on the front. I have to install usb extenders on them so patrons can plug in their thumb drives

great buy

I bought this computer because I liked the design, screen size, and touch screen interface. I have not been disappointed. This computer has proven to be stable, quiet, and integrates the touch screen in such a way that you can use it for just about...

Great machine for an appliance application

Using this for a home pbx as an appliance. Absolutely wonderful piece of hardware for that application. No problems with ethernet ports (worry from earlier post) - all worked flawlessly from initial trial through today!

Has full size PCI slot. Low power usage. Low noice, small amount of heat generated ; The foresight linux that comes installed on the hard drive does all BASIC necessary end user needs such as email, spreadsheet, internet access........ etc

If you want Perl or the GCC - (the C compiler), its just not going to happen with the foresight linux (at least for me)

Not Bad

I got the 2.0GHz model with 512 ram and use it as a Ubuntu server.

This is a nice little system. It has good specs for what I need and would be fine for simple tasks. It doesn't use much electricity

I can't seem to get the computer to boot from an USB external DVD-ROM drive. I had to open the box and connect one via IDE to install a new operating system. Also, if you plan to use it as a server, the BIOS requires that a keyboard be connected to...

Not bad, for the right person

If the limited specs of this box fits your needs it is a great deal. The 2.2 gig Celeron has reasonable power. The Intel GMA 950 is the weakest link. As a second computer (web surfing, office work, etc) it is great, especially if connected to a home...

Inexpensive, good looking, compact system. Wires neatly routed and tied down inside the case. Drivers disc, OS disc and allen wrench (for face plate) included. Quiet under normal load. Gets a bit louder under heavy load but not objectionable (for me)....

This is NOT a computer for a newbie. Buyers should be comfortable opening the case and installing operating systems. Foresight linux isn't too bad but it is not as polished as some other distros. Wiped the HD and installed Mint Linux via external USB...

bad ethernet on three boxes

Shuttle name made me think it would be a good product, dont be fooled. I ordered one, liked the box, ordered two more. The next two were both dead on arrival. Newegg replaced and the next two were ok - except for random ethernet problems on power up.

Nice box, great form factor

Unreliable ethernet, appears to be sensitive to power supply on boot. With loading, it sometimes doesnt power up. This is bios level, not operating system. The mobo apparently wont power it on if it doesnt satisfy some line test ; At any rate, if I...
