Perfect Little Box

Perfect for what I needed. I installed Windows XP on it and had no trouble finding drivers. Has not crashed a single time, very stable box

extremely flimsy case, but what can you expect for this amount of money

Good Box, Terrible Linux, No Flash Boot

Don't buy this without a USB-CD drive and a copy of Kubuntu 8.10. Newbies should not let this be their first Linux experience. I work with different Linux distributions a lot and this is the worst I've seen. It's nice hardwar for the money, too bad...

Nice little box. Quiet with a quality build. 512M of DDR2-667 memory is ok for Linux. The hardware is fine and a really good deal. It makes a great internet box for a parent

It doesn't boot off a flash drive and has no USB port on the front of the box. Not booting of a flash drive doesn't make sense on a new computer without a cd drive. The biggest problem, however, is Foresight Linux. What a mess. The rPath package...

The best bang for buck

Wish Shuttle provides better user manual.

Price. Stable performance. Quiet. Small. Design. I... Just love it

Wish there was one another option: bigger HDD and more memory. USB booting option did not work well for me - had to hook up IDE to install WinXP

Very impressed

Shuttle has always made quality computers. I have used other models for desktops, MythTV DVRs, and servers. I expect these to run well for a long time.

Very impressive performance for a small quiet computer. I installed an Edimax EW-7128G PCI wireless card prior to first boot, and it was auto detected. I was browsing the Web in under 3 minutes. Had not used Foresight distro before, appears to have...

For a less-than-$200 box? None!

Review

Overall I am very satisfied with the

Nice form factor. Looks very nice and professional. You can put a logo of your company on the front plate. The expansion slot is nice, used it to put in a serial rs232 card.

Took a lot of tinkering with. Needed windows for CNC software, so I put in a Windows XP install disc and nothing happend. Tried a GParted disc, nothing still. Only Ubuntu would start up. I used ubuntu to reformat the disc and after that it was smooth...

Nice small system

need front USB ports

Very good system! Quiet! You can overlock the CPU to 2.65g and no problem for running XP. You can add some more RAM, too.

If you want to use PCI graphic card, you have to choose a slim one. Otherwhise, it will not fit.

basic computer

If you want to boot from a device other than the internal hard drive, you have to start hitting Escape right when you turn the computer on and keep hitting it until it shows you boot options. The screen it takes you to when you hit Tab does not allow...

Small and space efficient. Fast for its specifications. Cheap

I found the Foresight Linux distribution that was installed by default to be irritating. It is not immediately apparent how to boot the device from an attached USB drive (ie, the boot screens do not direct you to an appropriate shortcut). Wifi would...

Basic computer.

It's a dang nifty computer. About the size of a four-slice toaster. Very slick.

It's a really basic computer. But it's very functional. If you are looking for more than that, you'll probably want to spend more money. It's attractive. Slick. Couple bugs that I see. Won't open links from within web messengers. Yet. Eh. Whatever....

A few bugs. To be diffused. Eventually.
