Blazingly fast ; Great value for money ; Runs quietly, Extremely Configurable ; Expanded hard drive capacity ; Superb internal engineering

The cheapest and fastest 8-core workstation is an absolute joy, especially when you're working with 3D software

The ceiling has just been raised at the top end of the Mac line interms of raw processing power. Although we knew the 8-core Mac Pro was imminent, in true Apple fashion its launch was anything but predictable

Blazingly fast, Great value for money, Runs quietly, Extremely Configurable, Expanded hard drive capacity, Superb internal engineering

The cheapest and fastest 8-core workstation is an absolute joy, especially when you're working with 3D software

Mac Pro 3GHz

 

The base-level Mac Pro is aimed at graphic designers and other primarily 2D-focused creatives. This model sits at the other end of the scale.

Very powerful. Well-designed chassis. Low cost for spec.

Lack of application support from high-end suites.
