MSI Nightblade MI2 Review

Very small form factor for a desktop PC.

Power supply cooler makes a constant high pitched noise.

MSI has packed a decent PC into a tiny chassis whilst avoiding the obvious pitfall of heat.

Buggy

-I wouldnt suggest this unit to anyone, turned out to be nothing but a headache. In theory its a cool Idea, but MSI needs to really work on the quality control of the MOBO's in these units. I ended up going with a EVGA hadron Air case, with an ASUS ROG...

-Its small -easy to build everything is prebuilt, only need to install CPU, ram, Graphics card, hard drive

-Flimsy construction, feels kinda cheap, the cpu cooler heatpipes look like they are made from copper colored tinfoil -First one came DOA, had to RMA for a second unit -Second unit had a faulty MOBO, tried multiple cpu's ram etc. Could not get the BIOS...

Amazing small gaming barebone

I installed an Intel Core i5-6500 Skylake 16 GB DDR4 ram and a Nvidia GTX 950. Runs quiet cool and fast no problems what so ever.

Looks neat has customizable Lighting on the front. Comes with slim/laptop style CD/DVD Rom drive. Nice bays for SSD/HDs Quiet Very small.

only con is it is a pretty tight fit inside the case. had to rearrange cables inside because they were touching the heat pipes for the included CPU cooler. The cable management clips inside the case helped make this an easy task.

It is little mean gaming machine...literally

It works for what it cost, and is in my opinion worth the money. I went with the Skylake i3 and Hyper-X DDR4 260-pin Memory, but you can go with as much as a 4700K Skylake i7 and a GTX 970, even though the power supply might not like it. Get this if...

Easy to upgrade, and customize. The case is very stylish. This is a pro and con, it is ITX. The positive portion of that is the size makes it perfect for a living room PC or bedroom, or travel gaming device.

MSI build quality isn't the best, the parts are not durable, but this has been my experience with MSI since motherboards I used in the Intel Core Duo days, I was hoping that would change by now. Another major con, and this is in reference to the first...
