Great project server

This little system went into production as a small office NAS running Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS.

Small form factor... Power efficient... Can squeeze a second 3.5" drive with a bit of modification...

I have owned a slightly different version of this MSI "Wind PC" and I could add a second drive in place of the full size optical bay. To do so required modification.

Wireless network DOA/missing

Easy to work on, easy to configure

Card that was for the wireless network is missing. Antenna wire goes into nothing on the MB. Empty socket. You think I would have looked at this physically before trying so hard to figure out why it wasn't working.

Nice little machine

Too bad this product is out of stock. I'd buy more of 'um if they were available.

OK, having lived with this machine for a couple of months, I've decided that I like it a great deal, despite the lack of support from MSI. This product makes a very nice little media server running Ubuntu 14.04 server, 64bit, headless. Easy enough to...

Only supports 4gb of ram. Unlike the old MSI WindPC, there's no CF card support. Adding 2nd standard SATA HDD requires getting out a drill and a soldering iron to deal with the funky 2ndary micro-sata optical drive cable.

MSI B032-001BUS

Too soon to tell

Basically, there is ZERO support for this product from MSI's US or Global web sites. The download link on the US site leads to a 404 page-not-found error on the Global site. So, for now, you can forget about finding BIOS updates, driver updates, etc
