Review Lenovo ThinkPad T530 2429-5XG Notebook

Old acquaintance? The latest member of the ThinkPad T Series, the T530, features one major change from its ThinkPad heritage – a chiclet-style keyboard. Aside from some hardware updates and the implementation of an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, the...

Stable case, USB 3.0, docking port and ultra-bay, 3 year warranty, Keyboard also with backlight, Matte, bright screen, Extensive configuration options, Low system noise, Extremely long battery life possible, The good workmanship and the quiet,...

Very nice laptop for the price

- Definitely would buy again - Great option for developers or college students (like me)

- Plenty of ram - SSD is quite fast - Decent processor is close to beating my quadcore desktop AMD fx 4300 on benchmarks - Possibly upgradable (forums say so) to an i7-3940XM, which blows both of those away (any g2 socket i7 processor should work)

- trackpad can be weird to two-finger scroll sometimes

Great Product Fast Shipping, Windows 7 included!

Package Windows 7 disks with a Windows 7 installed laptop, Duh..

I have worked with other PC distributors who no longer offered the T530 Lenovo laptop. The new laptop that is offered now is the T540 (from the other distributor) It is frustrating to use mouse pad. I will not buy a product for my company that I have...

Lenovo Drivers can be tough to find for the right product if you don't have the right install disk (Windows 8 recovery disks come with the laptop). You have to call Lenovo 800-IBM-SERV, and ask for the disks for Windows 7 if you have to re-image....

Good Value But lots of bundled software

Good Price looks and feels like a durable product, but lots of bundled software that in a business environment is not needed or desired. Can not speak to the reliability being this product was just purchased and too soon to tell if it can last.

Lenovo ThinkPad T530 2359 - 15.6" - Core i5 3210M - Windows 7 Professional

I had a hard time letting go of my trusty Dell Latitude D630, but this laptop is doing the trick. It's very fast, the touchpad is responsive, the keyboard is very nice, and of course it's built like a truck.

Strong Performance, and yet...

On an otherwise great laptop, Lenovo could have included a better keyboard on the T530. That would have made it a "10" for me. But it's still a strong "8".

Weight, Wireless card, Screen size, Display performance, Display resolution, Battery, Input/Output compatibility, Processor, Memory, Storage, runs surprisingly cool

Lenovo ThinkPad T530 2359 - 15.6" - Core i5 3210M - Windows 7 Professional

We have a few floating around still. TWO issues since purchase. Both user induced and both dealt with VERY quickly and painlessly by Lenovo.

Worst Keyboard Ever

The guts of this laptop are top rate. But the keyboard is the worst I have ever seen. This was very surprising for me, since Lenovo has traditionally had the best keyboards in the industry. Not any more. If you want a Lenovo, make sure it has the...

Lenovo ThinkPad T530 2359 - 15.6" - Core i5 3210M - Windows 7 Professional

Been running around with one of these for years, being tossed in the back of my jeep, falling on the floor when I slam on the brakes, being used constantly, and it just keeps coming back for more. One very tough machine. Agree, a little mroe of the...

Lenovo T-530 (First Lenovo)

I did a lot of research before buying my newest laptop, a T-530. I ALSMOST didn't buy it because of all of the negative reviews on the changing of the keyboard. So I have to admit, I never experienced this older version keyboard with the blue enter...
