Lenovo Erazer X510 review

The Erazer X510 is a half-hearted attempt to dazzle gamers with a rig that has impressive specs, but no real substance.

The Lenovo Erazer X510 is a perfect example of why major brands rarely attract gamers, even when they offer affordable, well-equipped rigs. Rather than building a unique product from the ground up, the company re-used the bones of its affordable home...

Lenovo Erazer X510 review: An attractive PC for gamers with shallow(ish) pockets

Thumbs-up on Lenovo's choice of CPU and case; thumbs-sideways on its choice of GPU

Sleek case design ; Powerful unlocked CPU ; Hot-swappable hard-drive bay

Poor internal airflow ; No SSD ; Relatively weak video card

Lenovo's Erazer X510 gaming PC is a good choice for an entry-level gamer with a limited budget.

Lenovo Erazer X510

The Lenovo Erazer X510 is a solid midrange gaming desktop that is built for gamers who want a decent machine now, with the possibility of some future expansion.

Simplified design. One-button overclocking. Powerful quad-core Intel Core i7-4770K processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 GPU.

Garish, plastic front panel. No Blu-ray drive.

Conclusion The Lenovo Erazer X510 may not offer the refined looks and extreme expandability offered by many custom boutique gaming rigs, but as a basic gaming desktop it offers a good mix of capability and some flexibility for future upgrades, with...

Lenovo Erazer X510 Review

If you're looking to get into PC gaming without digging for the perfect parts to build your own machine, the Lenovo Erazer X510 is an excellent all-encompassing computer. Its Core i7 processor and GeForce GTX 760 GPU blaze through most mainstream...

Sharp design ; Tool-free expandability ; Strong overall graphics performance ; Comfy, customizable mouse

Subpar frame rates for some high-end games ; No SSD

The Lenovo Erazer X510 gaming PC provides zippy performance and flexible customization for an entry-level price.

Pros and Cons

I've decided to keep the computer as is, as I have the power I need for my limited purpose, and have bought an external hard drive docking station, which makes the hot swappable bay unnecessary. I could contact Lenovo for help, but we all know the...

I bought this computer specifically to run MS Flight Simulator, which until now, I have not been able to run wide open with such smooth results. I did have freeze ups at first, the worst I've ever experienced, with FSX seldom running for 30 seconds...

Two things do not work. When overclocking is activated, it does not report that the computer is running faster. In fact, a digital readout shows the same speed no matter what setting you select. Worse yet, I accidently left overclocking on while doing...

First gaming desktop

It's confusing to use windows 8.1 at first. There some annoyance with quick tabs. Other than that very satisfied with this desktop.

Ultra fast desktop, easy to setup and handle. Cooling inside. Run high graphics on almost latest games

Worth The Wait

My initial worries about this computer wasn't about the computer or hardware, but about living with Windows 8/8.1. I have to say my fears were not realized as I made the switch from 7 to 8.1 without grief, and actually like 8.1 now! Operation of the OS...

In every aspect of the computer's performance...it does everything FAST! Gorgeous graphics that keep up regardless. The overclock button is a blast as well as being useful

None found yet...if I had to find one, it would be too much useless/redundant preloaded software (especially from Lenovo)
