Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 review

Tiny enough to hang off the back of your screen

Versatile design ; Excellent connection options ; Plenty of RAM ; Capacious hard drive ; VESA mountable

Uninspiring CPU performance ; Poor graphics prowess ; Initially sluggish ; Not upgradeable

Is there room for simple desktop PCs in a market dominated by laptops and by next-gen consoles? Can the Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 stand out? These were questions we had before we even plugged in this machine, and after testing they're still the questions...

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 mini PC review

The IdeaCentre Q190 from Lenovo is a very smart-looking mini PC with a long, slim design which can lay flat on your desk or upright in its supplied stand. It also comes with a VESA bracket for fixing to the back of your monitor.

The IdeaCentre Q190 looks the part and has decent build quality. The option optical digital output and optional matching Blu-ray drive make it good for home theatre use, but it could really do with a more modern processor as performance is somewhat...

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190

Meet the Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190, a miniature PC that gives you full-fat Windows 8 in a compact shell, and can even be mounted on the back of your telly, all for a relatively low price of just £299.99. We put the base-model to the test to see just how...

Lenovo's tiny Q190 is a brilliant little box that can act well both a basic PC and as a media hub - but only if your watching needs are strictly online and streamable. The higher-end model tops out at £429, and comes with a 1TB hard drive and a Blu-Ray...

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 review

With a minute form factor and an unbeliveably low price, is this PC too good to be true?

Tiny form factor; Reasonable build quality; Breathtakingly cheap; Low power consumption

Lack of power; Little versatility; Few business features

A useful machine in a small form factor, but the Q190 is perhaps better suited to be a media entertainment hub rather than a full-blown work machine.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 (57327830)

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 is an affordable small-form-factor home theater PC offering plenty of I/O ports and a good amount of hard drive storage.

Reasonably priced. Sizable hard drive. Lots of ports.

No room for expansion. Middling performance.

If you're looking for a compact PC to control your home entertainment system or just need an affordable secondary Windows PC, the Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 is a good choice. Its tiny footprint lets you locate it just about anywhere, and it comes with a...

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190

The Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 compact desktop gives users a good way to jazz up their home theatre, provided they don't stray too far from its intended media purposes.

Compact size. Optical drive included. Bundled multimedia remote. Affordably priced.

Weak performer beyond media-related functions.

Size. This was bought for my granddaughter and as she has a small bedroom the size of this PC makes it ideal.

Upgrading could be a problem as it is so small and very little room inside.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Q190 Nettop

Very sleek, handy and attractive. Can carry around if you have a mini keyboard & mouse (of course you need a monitor!). Straight forward set up & operation. Hangs behind the Monitor Screen. Faster than expected for an Intel Celeron Processor. Faster...

No upgrade options, especially memory. No Display Port.
