With more data being stored on your PC than ever before, Dave thinks that a reliable and speedy backup solution should be paramount to any small business.
server running Windows Server 2003. To test performance we used a 15GB mixture of files and asked the drive to backup, verify and restore the data to its original location. TapeWare had no problems working with the drive but its poor job reporting...

Get the same machine in a larger case, and you're in for an expandable treat; get this and you'll have a strong, reduced-size machine but nothing more.

The HP Compaq DC7600 CMT ($1,378 direct; without monitor, $1,029) represents HP's top-of-the-line business desktop. This system fits well into any business environment, be it a small proprietorship or a corporate behemoth. With a dual-core Pentium D...
Dual-core processor. Expandable mid-tower design. 1GB of fast DDR2 memory. Vista-compatible components
May be a little large because of tower configuration
The HP Compaq DC7600 CMT is a powerhouse business PC that can serve both small-business and enterprise users well.

Perfect. I gave it to friend as a gift. Device does not take up much room
Only problem is AT&T has corrupted the OS, in an attempt to reset his email account, and he has no way of getting back into any applications. Need to reload OS but he does not have the disk since none came with it

Need to work on your quality control. This is the second hp that didn't work when I took it out of the box. The first had a buzz in the power supply. I have an auditor friend who did a manufacturer's refurbishing operation for qc and he was really...
I like the HP's and this was a good price for 2 gig of ram, but.....it was defective out of the box. (see cons). However, the return process went well and was easy to do. I'm just out my time troubleshooting and boxing it back up. Newegg did a good job...
It wouldn't boot up when we turned it on. When I opened the case, there were two big lint balls inside, one blocking a fan. I blew out the inside, and it booted up. After loading some programs, I shut it off and it wouldn't boot again. I went through...

NOT 64 bit capable CPU so even though it CAN be upgraded to 4 gig RAM youll never see it, as this setup can only ever run 3.2
Fast processor, cheap price
excessive heat (I have a fan on it in the back and its increasing the temperature in my room), slow internet (on a cable modem, I think its the ethernet card), extremely small case (cant even fit a SLI card in it)

I have often gone with refurbs when building replacement PCs for friends. The one's that come off of corp leases are usually not abused and well equipped. I see this as a future way of selling PCs in general. A company will sell you a PC or other...
Decent Processor ; You get 2GB of RAM ; You get a 400GB Hard drive ; You get XP Pro ; Nicely equipped for a 'refurb
The hard drive did go bad. Got Smart Disk errors and chkdsk would not even run to check it. But a after a quick email I was sent a return label fro the old drive and got the replacement with no problem. The second hard drive was actually 500GB, so I am...

Glad I didn't buy 6 for business use like I had planned. Tried to give it 0 eggs but the system won't let me.
None. Well, cheap I guess
Wow. Looks like it was dropped down the stairs. Usually re-certified means looks/works like new. Inside the case it was still full of dustbunnies, and the hard drive had a big gnarly hand printed sticker on it. I wouldn't trust the drive to run very...

Very nice machine for the money, lots of Ram and hard-drive space, no problems, fired right up! One of only a few with XP pro you can buy anymore nowdays. I really like this desk-top, doesn't take up alot of room, and it's fast
None, I am hoping I get along life out of this machine
