Gateway DX4300-15e
Includes TV tuner and wireless networking without sacrificing general-purpose features; room to upgrade despite bounty of features.
Missing storage-friendly external ports found on other, less expensive Gateway desktops.
Not everyone wants a PC with a TV tuner, but if you're in the market for such a system, the Gateway DX4300-15e has you covered. Best of all, it offers a tuner without sacrificing other features we'd expect to find at this price. You'll find few other...

Gateway DX4300-11
Well-designed case gives easy access to front-panel media card reader.
Leisurely performance.
We're fond of the Gateway DX4300-11's clever design, but halfhearted performance scores mar its overall worth. The TV tuner and 1TB hard drive may tempt you to stick it in your living room as a media center PC, but your money is better spent on the...

The DX4300-03 is Gateway's mid-range multimedia desktop; it gets decent numbers for the entry-level enthusiast, but if you're looking for performance, look elsewhere.
Multimedia oriented. New styling. Device tray on top. TV Tuner included. Built-in Wi-Fi.
No Blu-ray drive. Lots of bloatware. Limited internal expansion room. Short 60-day subscription to Norton Internet Security.

Gateway DX4300-03
Clever design makes front-panel media card ports easily accessible; large hard drive; reasonably capable digital media PC.
Slow performance next to competing PC at the same price; poor power efficiency.
Gateway's DX4300-03 is a game attempt at a digital media hub-style PC, but the value proposition just isn't here. Slow performance in particular drags this desktop down, and unless you particularly value a TV tuner, you'll find faster, more capable...

We don't care much about a TV tuner card in the computer; we'd rather have that money spent on a discrete graphics card or a faster processor. Usually you have to sacrifice on features if you go for a computer with a TV tuner card but this Gateway...
It features wireless networking and TV tuner with general features and some upgrade options
The DX4300-15e does not have some external storage options that are found on other low cost Gateway desktops
If you need TV tuner card with HDMI video output and good performance, then you can buy Gateway DX4300-1e.

Today we'll take a look at the Gateway DX 4300-11 and the Maingear Shift desktop computers. One machine delivers solid performance that should suit the needs of casual users, while the other will appeal to the gaming crowd.
If you are not satisfied with the DX 4300-11's components in its retail configuration, you do have some options in terms of upgrading it once it is in your hands. Should the 1 TB hard drive not be sufficient, there is room for an extra hard drive. ...

I have had this computer for 6 years now, and it's been wonderful most of the time. It's a fast computer that won't break the bank and lasts for years. I'm typing this review on this computer as a matter of fact. However, one thing that disappointed me...
Decent processor, good RAM, fast
Graphics card is not the best, frequently overheats
