Delivery was rapid and smooth.

Great price & great performance .. still has a real serial & parallel port and a real line-in/line-out capability .. no issues with DVD eject

VISTA Home Basic takes some work ... eMachines tech support is not usefull (use NewEgg Xpert forums for great support). Will not support IDE/ATA drives (but I knew that up front)

A Good Entry Level Unit

It is recomended that you purchase another 1Gb stick of memory for this unit as the recommended for Vista is 2Gb total. In response to another user's review, you need to create the recovery set with the utility included in Windows. All major...

Fantastic Mom and Pop machine, bought one for my mother to do word processing and research on the internet and it's more than enough for her needs

None that are unexpected. As is true for all manufactured units, it will come with trial-ware and support-ware that 99% of people will never use. Remove all that and disable the extra garbage from startup and it purrs like a kitten

Fast and Inexpensive

Slow at first due to startup software. First thing I did was get rid of Big Fix, Norton, and MS Office. Then the machine screamed. I downloaded and installed Open Office and a free antivirus, set to run manually. This machine is way faster than my...

Great price. Surprisingly fast. Upgradable

No restore CD. Trial software

eMachines ET1160-05 Athlon LE-1600(2.2GHz) 1GB DDR2 160GB NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Windows Vista Home Basic

great price and lots of bang for the buck...not a gamer machine but great for a user who just needs a basic internet and email machine and plays basic games

what can i say? it comes with vista! although emachines informs me that this model comes with xp also.newegg ought to stock a few of these with xp for us vista haters ; i did put xp on this as all drivers are available for it but was like pulling teeth...

Perfectly capable

I'd never owned an eMachines computer before, but so far, I'm not unimpressed. I initially had a problem getting the case back on (I accidentally took off the side with the features sticker, and had to line up everything just right while at the same...

Cheap, powerful enough for just about anything, provided you're not a hardcore gamer

Faceplate feels a little bit flimsy and blocks access to optical drive button when open

New Egg I really appreciate the quick delivery.

This was my very first PC that I bought for myself ; and it so easy to set up. I really walkes you threw the set up process so even if you have very little knowledge ; about computers. I recommend this machine. The shipping process from New Egg is on...

Decent

Again, for the price..it's a good little machine.

Good ergonomical features. Nice solid case. Plenty of ; USB ports..four in the back and two in the front. Has ; a decent amount of processing power, RAM, and HDD ; for my needs at this time

When I opened the case it appeared to have ; some proprietary drives..i.e. HD and Optical

DOA

Looked nice

Came dead on arrival.. For some reason when they shipped it out they had the power supply at 230v instead of the 115v with a little clear sticker over top of it. Ive been building computers for over 9 years and when you order one within the united...

Poor quality

DON'T BY THIS PRODUCT. DON'T BY THIS PRODUCT. IF YOU SIMPLY WANT A CHEAP MACHINE BUILD IT AND INSTALL XP OR LINUX. MAY I ADD MY OPINION TO THOSE WHO HATE VISTA. NEWEGG AT LEAST WILL REPLACE THE PRODUCT BUT IT IS A CR#P SHOOT.

Look great coming out of the box. Lots of media slots. Great set of speakers, mouse, and keyboard

DOESN'T WORK! DOESN'T WORK! CAN'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET DUE TO A SOFTWARE DRIVER PROBLEM WHEN ASSIGNING IP. WHEN DOING IT MANUALLY, IT OVERWRITES CHANGES ON RESTART NOT ALLOWING IT TO ACCESS THE ROUTER. THE MANUFACTURER ONLY ALLOWS INTERNET SUPPORT....
