Though we applaud Digital Storm's attempt to create a small and attractive gaming tower, the Bolt ultimately strikes disappointment instead of inspiration.

Digital Storm's tiny, affordable PC gaming powerhouse

 

The small-chassis Digital Storm Bolt gaming desktop will run any game on the market. You might even be able to afford it.

The ; offers a strong combination of performance and value in a compact design.

The case cover can be difficult to remove, and Digital Storm cut a few relatively harmless corners to keep the price low.

By sacrificing luxuries, the performance-focused Digital Storm Bolt will satisfy most PC gamers for significantly less than most other small gaming desktops.

Digital Storm Bolt

 

The Digital Storm Bolt represents the best and worst of the trend toward smaller gaming desktops.

Killer compact design. High-end performance, thanks to a quad-core Core i7-3770k processing and Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti graphics.

Case is difficult to open. Construction seemed haphazard. Small system doesn't leave much space for maintenance and upgrades.

All things considered, the Digital Storm Bolt proves itself to be a fairly good gaming system for the gamer who wants to enjoy the latest games, but doesn't want to mess with upgrades. System tweakers will be frustrated by the difficult-to-open case...
