Is the snazzy Dell Inspiron Zino HD the ideal small home theatre PC?

Dell Inspiron Zino HD 410 review

But the internals of this tiny, black PC aren't the only things that Dell amped up: the price of our configured system jumped to £759 inc VAT and delivery (up from £399 for its predecessor). We love the upgrades Dell that explain the higher price, but...

The Dell Zino HD 410 is a speedy, connected, Blu-ray-ready system that takes up little more space on your bookshelf than a typical Victor Hugo novel would. You can find better-performing, easier-to-upgrade budget systems. But if a compact design is...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD review

Make a PC small enough and you can hide it in the lounge without getting in anyone's way. Or even simply site it on the desktop, rather than leave it lurking on the floor under your desk.

While the headline price of £329 looks very attractive for a compact computer that can be pressed into service as a cheap office or home PC, the price starts to ratchet up as you add the useful extras. The high-defintion-disc playing machine we tested...

Dell - Inspiron Zino HD 410

The idea behind Dell's Zino HD 410 - a PC that's attached to your TV - has been round for years. The first flurry of lounge-based PCs appeared when Microsoft launched Windows XP Media Center version ...

The Zino HD 410 is a good-looking piece of kit, but we couldn't help thinking our review sample was more powerful than required. If you're going to task it with little more than media playback, it makes more sense to go for one of the cheaper...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD 410

Review With decent media streamers available for under £150 and many TVs featuring built-in network capabilities, getting content on your telly through a fully-fledged mini desktop PC might seem like a rather expensive way to do things. Still, that...

The Zino HD 410 certainly fulfills its role as a home theatre PC, and with the inclusion of a triple-core CPU, Radeon HD 5450 graphics and optical audio output it’s also far better value than its predecessors. However, although more power is always...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD 410 Review

Last week we reviewed the Atom powered ASRock ION3D which we felt offered a cost effective solution for media computing demands. Today we are looking at a similarly compact, higher specification system from Dell, featuring an AMD Phenom processor with...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD

Dell turns from Intel to AMD's processors for this HDMI-equipped mini media centre PC.

The compact design of the Zino HD will certainly appeal to anyone that wants a neat and attractive media centre PC, or even just a snazzy desktop for day-to-day work. However, the 1.5GHz processor is a bit feeble, and if Apple can beat it with the...

Dell Zino HD Review

I hate to draw parallels between Dell's Inspiron Zino HD and the Mac Mini, but it's inevitable. They're both very cute computers (All together: awwwww), and enthusiasts are likely to see in them the same kinds of possibilities: small home server, media...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD Desktop PC

Dell has certainly improved in its production of Desktop PCs. Even though it is a well established producer when it comes to Laptops, it has been a bit low in the production of Desktop PCs, and particularly, mini PCs. So, in order to revive its...

Dell Inspiron Zino HD review

A nicely designed, compact chassis is the main draw, but the price is a little too high for what you get.

The Dell Zino HD certainly betters both for design, so if that's important to you it will fit your desk nicely, but as an overall package the Zino simply doesn't offer enough to justify its high price.
