It's round four for the iMac on Apple silicon. Turns out the first time was the charm, but this one's great too.
Blazing performance across the board. Outstanding new camera. Nano-texture screen option is a must-have.
Very expensive, especially once you start adding upgrades. Magic Mouse is not magic at all. No touchscreen.

The design remains the same, but you get a new processor and a more generous RAM offering without a price increase. Sadly, Apple is still miserly with the iMac's storage.
Elegant, compact design ; 16GB RAM is new minimum without price increase ; Nano-texture glass is effective in reducing glare and reflections ; Sweet-sounding six-speaker set
Standard 256GB SSD is insufficient ; Upgrades are pricey ; Misses out on Wi-Fi 7

While some argue the iMac shouldn't exist, the latest model does its own thing splendidly.
Beautiful design ; Incredibly powerful ; Great camera
Screen might be too small for some ; Expensive for a non-portable device ; No height adjustment
The concept of the static all-in-one computer is becoming increasingly niche, and with that in mind the iMac might seem an extremely expensive proposition – one that can't move and only offers one screen size. But for the right user, it's an incredibly...

In addition to the Mac mini and the MacBook Pro, the iMac also received the M4 SoC upgrade. nextpit reviews the all-in-one PC.
Consistent, impressive performance for everyday office use ; Comes with 16 GB RAM as standard ; Nano-texture glass looks beautiful ; iPad webcam is a welcome innovation
Very, very poor repairability score ; Not configurable with M4 Pro or M4 Max ; Only two USB-C ports, depending on the model ; Nano-texture glass display costs at least $1,500
If you still want to buy an all-in-one PC from Apple in 2024, the iMac M4 is the perfect choice. Upgrades such as the availability of nano-texture glass, an improved webcam, and, of course, the higher performance of the M4 SoC make it the best iMac...

Apple's 2024 iMac M4 got some internal updates to a familiar design, and the bevy of those small changes helped Apple perfect its ever-popular all-in-one.

A faster chip and a better camera make this a good iMac upgrade
Speedy M4 performance ; Lovely 4.5K display ; Great 6-speaker sound system ; Upgraded camera is nice to have
Lack of height adjustment hurts ; No touchscreen option feels limiting
The iMac M4 delivers all the strengths of the iMac with the added juice provided by Apple's M4 chip, delivering better performance than any iMac to date. However, a lack of meaningful improvements over older models means iMac M3 owners need not rush...
