Apple iMac Core Duo (20-inch)

The iMac is the first desktop system from Apple that houses the much-vaunted Intel Duo chip - if you can refer to something this intuitive and space-s...

Looks and Design, Stunning Screen, Remote Control Included, Excellent Software Package

Price, Vista Development, Speed Overstated

The iMac Core Duo is undoubtedly one for the future, especially considering the impending release of Windows Vista.

iMac

The 24-inch iMac is the big boy of Apple's all-in-one desktop line. Despite a new design and upgraded specs, it constitutes a modest update. But this striking system will surely make you look twice.

Sleek, all-in-one design Improved screen quality

All-in-one design limits expansion

As appealing as the new iMac is, with the Leopard operating system coming soon (at around the time you read this), I'd recommend holding off. If you do, you'll get the new OS preinstalled

Apple iMac Core Duo (20-inch, 2.0GHz)

Review: 20-inch iMac Core Duo 2.0GHz

I hadn't planned on buying a new desktop computer until the fall, but Apple's iMac update caught me off guard. Suddenly, Apple was selling a computer that seemed to offer the right balance of performance and value to meet the needs of the average...

Great enclosure, excellent display, good dual-binary gaming performance. Huge performance potential

Poor Rosetta performance. Front Row can be unresponsive

One could argue that the iMac is not meant for power users, and that's why Apple transitioned it to Intel first. But cropping images in Photoshop should not cause any dual-2.0GHz machine to slow to a crawl

Apple iMac Core Duo (20-inch, 2.0GHz)

Best advice i've ever taken was to take the plunge and switch to a mac. But i found out its not a plunge at all. No more windows PC issues!

Intuitive, amazingly quiet, fast, easy for photos, FUN! A computer for everyone from computer illiterate beginner to super advanced computer geek

Could a con be that it's just too good

Apple iMac Core Duo (20-inch, 2.0GHz)

Best thing I ever did was ditch the bug ridden Windows box and purchase a truely idiot proof computer.

True plug and play, no issues connecting broadband etc. Great software suite with iLife 06 as standard kit

Issues accessing windows based video files
