Just what I needed

I bought this because my house's wiring it total S---. The entire second floor (master bed, master bath, and secondary bedroom) is all on one 15 amp circuit. As a result if I run my computer, TV, AC, and the other room's TV and AC, we have power...

Management is very straight forward on the application ; Helped regulate the issues with my house wiring (more below) ; The Master socket/Slave socket power feature is awesome. I have my PC Plugged into the master and it is set that when the power draw...

I cant find how to have the LED Display always on or turn off the button LEDs. I didn't look at the manual or anything like that and spent a solid 2 (two) minutes

4 years of protection and still going

Be smart with your battery vs surge slots. Only keep your computer, monitor, and necessary peripherals (like external hdd) on battery to limit battery drain. But do make use of the surge slots to protect things like cable modems and other delicate...

I built this PC in 2009, by 2011 the memory had fried. As part of my diagnostics I discovered that my house has a bit of dirty power, finally I knew why cable modems kept dying on me ; Anyway, I replaced the memory, bought this unit, and my PC is still...

Like someone else said, it won't host odd connectors without obstructing other slots. But they're not too crowded for standard stuff, and a power strip can take care of any issues. Just don't connect more devices than the unit can supply. Not enough...

APC Has gotten much better

I've been using APC for years, and not because they were a good brand, but because they were really the only choice. However, against the industry standard of middle-fingering the customer because you have all the power, they have have improved greatly...

Really Pleased

I'd have been tempted to design it a bit wider at the bottom, just to give it a little larger footprint there .. which may have also allowed for bulky adapters to be used on either side without affecting the other outlets. But, I had seen the images...

On Demand views of things like incoming voltage & load on battery. Its very much a plus that it does the voltage regulation with how the winter weather has been affecting levels of local supply voltages etc

The only beef I have with it compared to what it is replacing (apc ls-700). It does not make any extra room for odd-shaped adapters the way my ls-700 did and that's left one outlet unusable in my case. Still, have everything I need going through it and...

Good value backup

Easy to get up and running. We have a lot of power surges and failures when storms come thru the mid-west. It has saved us more than once. We have used this unit for about 3 years now and it still works good.

Easy setup. Works as advertised. I plan on getting one more

APC is the Gold Standard

Running an 18-watt load consisting of a fanless, solid-state Atom PC, modem, and router, this backup lasted over an hour. After 70 minutes, I plugged it back in since that was way more runtime than I needed. If you look at the runtime charts on APC's...

APC Reliability. LCD screen that gives you readings of current voltage, wattage, load percent, and estimated runtime

Estimate is the key word for the runtime. It's not terribly accurate. The estimate isn't terribly wrong, but a display showing 20 minutes is +/-5 minutes ; Minor complaint, really. I think it's a limitation of the SLA battery technology more than anything

Not Compatible with Active PFC

It's possible that if you lose power, and have one of these connected to your active PFC PSU, the PC might stay on. If it does, it's just going to shorten the lifespan on the PSU, as it's trying to work with the simulated sine wave. There are UPSs out...

Works fine with older computers and other devices

Like another reviewer said, this is not compatible with modern (active PFC) power supplies. In fact, you have to get into APC's big server-use units to achieve this compatibility. If you're buying a new computer, it probably uses an active PFC PSU, and...
