Acer Chromebase DC221HQ bwmicz

A solid value for an entry-level all-in-one desktop with a large touch display, the Acer Chromebase DC221HQ bwmicz is a good alternative to a Windows PC if you're looking for simplicity.

Affordable. 1080p touch screen. Articulating stand. Simple to set up and use. Quick performance in testing.

Limited number of USB ports. Only 16GB of local storage. Wired mouse and keyboard.

Conclusion The Acer Chromebase DC221HQ bwmicz is an affordable, Web-enabled all-in-one desktop that doesn't stand out in any one particular area. It's a good option if you spend most of your time working in the cloud and have constant access to a...

Acer Chromebase DC221HQ AIO Desktop Review

Today we're taking a look at the Acer Chromebase DC221HQ AIO Desktop. Keep reading to see how the newest entrant into the Chromebase family measures up.

Display, Chrome OS, Sound, Thin.

Screen size makes whole unit look enormous.

With this review coming to an end, I’ll ask my question again that I asked in the beginning of this review. Do you think that this Chromebase will start a trend or only play against itself? Specs are worth keeping in mind other than the fact that...

Beautiful design, terribly slow.

Design is well thought out.... I really like the adjustable kick-stand on the back. Large screen!

We have both the LG Chromebase and Acer models at our business. Noticeable difference in speed between the two. The Acer is hands down slower and lags when web browsing more in-depth/interactive websites. It says up to 2.1 GHz, but don't be fooled by...

Great units

We tested an ASUS Chromebox with the Intel dual core version and put 8GB of ram in the unit. This Acer Chromebase was able to run more programs with half the memory as the CPU on the ASUS could not keep up and was causing stuttering in our VOIP program...

I am the I.T. Administrator for a tech company and we bought over a 100 of these for the sales teams and dispatchers. We use them to, run multiple tabs at a time (sometimes more than 20 can be running), run a VOIP program and on some of the computers...

My biggest complaint is that the ram is not upgrade-able. 4GB for our purposes is just barely enough.

HORRIBLE

I thought that 4GB and 64bit would perform better. BUT I WAS WRONG

I have the 2GB LG Chromebase and that NEVER crashed on me its just I like to have many title-bars open in browser and when that happens its SLOW. So I thought if i get this 64bit + 4GB ram it will be flawless....... WRONG......... This Acer unit...
