Acer Aspire Predator

this amazing computer has lasted for 2-3 yeas and has only failed once (graphics card fried, fan failure). i did however make miner tweaks and changes, added ram here, graphics card there. most importantly its fast and extremely quite thanks to that...

i did think the price was over the top for the feature the computer has to offer, but i will say it was worth the buy, thinking of keeping the case and removing the "old junk" with some 2012 junk

Acer Aspire Predator GT7700-UQ9550A Core 2 Quad Q9550(2.83GHz) 8GB DDR2 1920GB NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit

Seem to be everything I expected. Runs very fast and very quite

I was planning on adding two more GTX 9800 cards but looks like power supply has connections for only one more card

Oh YES!

This thing runs so well and quiet it is disgusting! It runs everything I can throw at it beutifully. Only the newest of the new games can't be maxed out graphics wise comfortably

It, is, heavy. Not like you are toting it around but maneuvering it to open can be awkward, especially because you don't want to break the sweet case

Impressive case design

Kudos to the case design.

Use the bottom 2 PCI-E slots if upgrading to a dual GTX 280 or 260 SLI. It still runs in PCI-E x16 SLI.

My Computer

Dont be fooled from the bright orange color in the pics. The actual color is much darker its like a matellic dark reddish-orange. This computer is much faster than I expected. I have another computer that has a e8500 CPU (3.16 GHZ Dual Core) an...

Not disappointed, but they should of atleat added Blu Ray or another 9800 GTX. Price is a little steep. I would say this computer is worth $1699 instead of $1999.

A Predator Lurks in the shadow!

Always build my own and really was attracted to the case. It's been 14 days and so far so good. The spec to price for a prebuilt is good but this is really about the case which is surprisingly sturdy. I am also adding a rear external PCI slot cold air...

and BlackBirds, Aliens & XPS's are all on the cafe Pwnage menu! Nice case - got tired of the "visual cacophony" <-- big word ; of black, silver, white and grey boxes. Beside the look also like the HDD back-plain with external hot swap access

Currently only 2 configuration options (there should be more). And the external HDD door makes me a little nervous. There also should be an intake fan

Acer Predator GT7700

Great components for the price.

The case broke in like 3 days when I bought it. I need to buy a replacement case.
