Acer Aspire M7720

Acer kicks off Core i7.

Ports, slots and external drive bays are easy to access; Intel Core i7 CPU and 3GB of RAM; conservative power consumption

This configuration doesn't have a digital TV tuner, nor more than 750GB of hard drive space, but these options are available; no optical audio output; micro-ATX-sized motherboard, no PCI slots

Does what I want for the minimal amount of money

It had a free upgrade from windows vista to windows 7. It was a lot of hassle to order the upgrade and then do it. It would have been easier if I had been provided with the upgrade disks right from the start. Cant see why you cant just add them.

Very quick processing and easy to use. Excellent for gaming.

Only £50 discount for a reconditioned machine - also you couldn't tell me why it was reconditioned, I would've preferred to know this before I purchased.

Large hard disc, 8 usb sockets and card reader.

No reset button, no sound proofing and cheap case resulting in vibration which is heard as a constant low hum. On start up computer hangs on the setup page for 20 to 30 seconds before loading windows.
