So much for Viking's reputation

 

Bought a new condo which came with a new viking cook top. The building had just turned on the gas. My husband turned on one of the burners, all of a sudden flames started shooting out all through the dials and around the edges. Turning off the burner ...

Continuous grate is nice, sealed burners easier to clean

Quality=dubious, Price, front left burner flames are too BIG on high setting.

Viking 4-Burner

 

I chose this Viking to replace a 40-year old RCA/Whirlpool gas cooktop during a renovation of my kitchen more than three years ago. I spent a lot of time considering different brands. My main criteria were having a continuous grate and sealed burners....

Burner grates -- and there are six of them --are unnecessarily heavy
