Terrible Product

Bought this a couple of years ago thinking that Tefal were meant to be a good product. It's not!!!. It leaves a mess when cooking rice. All over the lid and it leaves a gluggy puddle on the table too. After a while, the teflon, which can't be good for...

I wouldn't buy another one

I have owned and used this rice cooker for 2 years now so I feel that I can give an honest review of the product. My sister purchased this for me as a gift, I was grateful at the time but have cursed it ever since. The cooker creates a terrible mess on...

Really bad bad rice cooker

I have never used such a dreadful rice cooker. I have tried so many times to make nice rice and it is always crunchy on the bottom and it makes a huge mess all over the lid, down the sides and all over my kitchen bench. What is wrong with it? Did...

The rice is not nice and the liquid comes up through the steam vent onto the lid, down the sides and onto the bench.

One of the best appliances we have ever owned

After reading all the negatives, I have decided to describe how this little gem performs in our family: Design: Stainless steel, black plastic - looks modern and smart - 5 out of 5 Functionality: put x cups of rice, fill the teflon coated cooking bowl...

Smart looking, simple to use, consistently good cooking results

Made in China, One day we all will have to go to China to find a job as Australia seems not to make anything any more.

Shame i can't select 0 stars

You wonder if this thing was tested in any way before it was put on the market. I had a $20 rice cooker and decided to "step up" to something a little better as the cheap one always had a little over cooked rice at the bottom. After buying this cooker...

Appearance

Doesn't work properly, poorly designed and dangerous.

Very poorly designed, too many issues with it.

I upgraded from a little basic $15 cooker to this thinking it was going to be so much better, well I was wrong.. I'm going back to my $15 one. It is the worse design I have ever seen, it's very impractical and a huge pain trying to adapt to it. All my...

Love the look of it.and the lockable lid.

These are my issues with it.. 1. Although the cord is detachable, it is connected into the side of the machine rather then at the back. where it should be closer to the power outlet.. 2. The lid opens sideway in the opposite direction, making it harder...

Terrible

This rice cook is the worst one I ever used. The design is very poor and function for soup could be realized because something wrong with the temperatue control. If you use it to cook rice,it will get stick on bottom but not well cooked on top. If you...

Terrible

The design is dangerous, and it really hurt by the steam. Don't let children to get close to it.

The size is big, it can cook the rice and steam a dish at the same time, but a lot of rice cooker can do the same.

The steam valve is so close to the handle. I and my husband got hurt couple time because of this design. Not recommend to buy.

Bad

It cooks rice, but i feel is dangerous due to the positioning of the steam valve. Burnt my hand many a time. Once this one goes, I'll buy another brand.

Looks good and cooks the rice well.

It burns the rice on the bottom of pan but I have found if you put about a teaspoon of oil in the water, this doesn't happen. The most annoying thing is the placement of the steam valve, right next to the handle so when you go to open the lid, you...

Bad

This is a bad rice cooker. You have no control over cooking times or heat. The entire process is automated depending on the water level, or something. Who knows. We followed the instructions to the letter and the rice has always burned and the pan has...

Cooks rice. No frills. You can cook risotto and steam vegetables, too.

This cooker burns the rice to the bottom of the pan. The tefal surface has scratched off and we don't know why. We only use wooden spoons and plastic servers. The heating plate gets too hot and remains too hot unless you turn it off at the wall. You...
