Fire Hazard

We got it as a present and soon after, one morning my wife placed a bagel in the toaster and went to shower, and about 8 minutes later jumped out all wet, 'cause the smoke alarm went off... The kitchen was filled with SMOKE, when the bagel got all...

Nicely sophisticated

But is it worth the smoke in your kitchen

WARNING: Before you purchase...

There have been many reviews about this product already and there is not much to add except one very important point. The fan will break and will render the "convection" properties of this oven useless. Sure, you will be able to toast and bake till...

Strong, sturdy unit. Should last for years

Fan will break. It is just a matter of time. Door hinges are temperamental too

Celebrate Life with a TOAST

Update: As of January 2010, my darling Krups is now my darling DEPARTED Krups. One day it just ceased to function or even turn on. I guess it lived for a few years, so I'm happy with the time we spent together. However, I quickly made friends with a...

Durable, Attractive, Convection saves time, Simplicity, All the Features you Need

A bit pricey, but worth every dollar

TWO Strikes and it's OUT!!!

Don't know who is giving this product good reviews. -friends/employees? (one reviewer went through THREE units, I went through TWO, in a matter of weeks. Unless they aren't making them like they used to)!!!

Size, color, name brand (or so I thought)

Annoying multiple beeps at end of cooking cycle. Majority of units unreliable

One of the best

The Krups is a replacement for my Oster which never worked worth a darn. This one heats up very fast, cooks evenly, doesn't make the horrendous convection noise that many others do, and looks too. I'm a bit disappointed in how long and how unevenly it...

Quick to heat. Maintains even temp throughout cycle. Relatively quiet. Looks good

Doesn't toast as quickly as I'd like

The Best, but with a learning curve

Krups Toaster Oven – FCB2

Well Built, Fast Heating, Accurate Temperature Control, Auto Shut-off, Cool-to touch

No stops on sliding racks (but open door serves as baking dish rest)

Worth the Money If You Use It Often

So for this amount of money, there's no point in owning it if you are going to seriously use it. Don't buy it just to toast something, because a real toaster will give you faster results. It takes at ~4 minutes to toast sliced bread in this unit and...

Convection; Fast Heating; Durable; Reasonably Insulated; Loud beep; Auto off; Crumb Tray

Low-quality non-stick pans; No light, but can see inside; Outside case a little hot

Great product, works perfectly

A few months ago, I reviewed a Europro toaster oven that was giving us fits . Luckily, we've since replaced it with this very nice Krups six slice toaster oven that works MUCH better than the Europro. It costs twice as much, but it's well worth it.

Works well, easy to use, controls are easy to find

Broil/grill is an afterthought. And defrost is way too slow

Manufacturing Engineer Finally Finds a Decent Toaster!

My search for a decent toaster oven has been a royal pain in the botox! The vast majority of the units I researched and inspected (online and in stores) are only a half-step up from tin foil Easy Bake ovens. Some may work well but they are made of junk...

FAST & intense heat, solid design (comparatively speaking), intuitive accurate digital

Outside gets hot (they all do but it should be addressed), loud beeper
