The stove is fine for the price.

It seems to take a little longer to pre-heat the pan before cooking.

Smooth top is too easily cracked and too expensive to repair!

We've had our smooth top Hotpoint range for nearly 3 years. I really liked the sleek look of our all-black model. The smooth surface cleans very easily, and always heated up very quickly. The heating was even and true to the setting, not burning too hot.

Skimpy warranty for a major appliance. Too fragile for normal wear and tear
