Fire Hazard - Knob control unit shorted out

 

If possible, I would give this a -5 star rating.  One of the control units (knobs) shorted out and almost caused a fire.  Sears wanted to replace the burned out control unit but we wouldn't risk it.  I would strongly recommend that you DON'T BUY THIS...

In about 16 month period, we had it replaced 4 times. Good thing we had the master protection agreement. Otherwise, it would have costed aprx $1100 for each replacement. With several overflows, the frame around the cooktop disconnects from the glass. I...
