I don't know what this is coated on the inside of the rice cooker but the rice slides out like water. The rice is also very tender. I do wish it had an automatic cut off switch but I put it on a timer when I am gone and this seems to work fine for me....

wanted a black bin and this was a reasonably priced one. I quite like it but the design of the top heavy lid makes it difficult to open with the pedal and I end up using my hand, which is a nusiance. It looks good though.
