seems you can replace lid and lay it flat, probably for safety reasons so some of the steam exhausts. rinsed inside and steam pot before running it once to clean it get rid of any toxins

This is a built in unit and the third Dacor one we have had in this space in 12 years. We keep buying it because it fits. Works adequately, but reliability is only fair. On the other had, ABTs service,price and delivery is excellent.
