Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1

This 5.1-channel speaker system has a powerful subwoofer.

Top-notch sound

More expensive than some competitors

The Ultra 5.1 lacks the flashy design of gaming speakers, but it has good, classic looks and top-notch sound.

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 review: Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1

Category-leading subwoofer; 1/8-inch analog line-in jack; headphone output; standard speaker-wire connectors; improved styling.

Expensive; no digital-audio inputs; lacks a wireless remote control.

With an excellent subwoofer and two-way sats, this multimedia speaker system does justice to PC games and DVD sound.

Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 Review

These are the best-sounding multimedia speakers you can buy. Simple, huh?

Great sounds

two of these units have failed for me ; I think I will stick with Logitech

The best speakers I've ever had

I looked for speakers that will make me happy. Listened to lot of sets. About 3 years ago I owned the Bose Companion 3. Bass was soft and powerful, overall sound was good. Unfortunately it was 2.1. Than I switch to Companion 6. It sounded worse even...

Still An Option

If you don't need the extra functionality of the Z-5500's, why bother getting them? I use my PC for movies, some games and music. I never watch TV. I wanted the best. I think I got it. I'm mostly pleased. I upgraded from the Z-2300's, while I'm not...

Maybe you're like me. Maybe you have a really great sound card and care about your PC audio. Let me guess, your choices have come down to the Z-5500's and/or the S550's or just a HTIB ; Maybe you've discounted the ProMedia 5.1 Ultra's because of the...

Subwoofer needs some EQ tweaking. I like lots of bass, not overwhelming but I like a lot of it, so, I had to tweak the EQ for higher bass levels. The sub can handle it very easily. Get it to your liking. The bass on this is amazing ; High amounts of...

Klipsch PROMEDIA ULTRA 5.1 470 watts 5.1 Speaker

Klipsch has a horried customer service center. Took them over a month and half just to get a replacement amp and they dont give any status updates and most of the time its a pain to reach a customer service rep.

A good sounding speaker unit. The sound remote is easy to use and adjust the verious settings for the sub, center, rear speakers

This brand of speaker is prone to amp failers straight out of the box. I had to go threw 3 differnt speakers before I got a working one. The first one which I bought at a differnt company came with no cables but the one I got from newegg lasted about a...

Klipsch PROMEDIA ULTRA 5.1 470 watts 5.1 Speaker

My first unit was defective, but Newegg made sure everything turned out great. NEWEGG ROCKS!

Great cystal clear sound. Bass sounds great. This makes your music sound excellent, you will be happy with the quality

Seems to be a high rate of failure, due to overheating. If you install a cooling system in the sub, you will have no problems

Extremely high quality sound but poor reliability

I've owned both the Klipsh 5.1 THX model as well as this Klipsch 5.1 Ultra and they sound pretty much identical. Only problem is that BOTH of my speaker sets (mainly due the subwoofer) died in less than 18 months. The both exhibited the same symptoms...

Ranks among the top 3 desktop speakers as far as sound quality goes. Extremely clear sound even at high volume levels for music, movies and games. The bass is tight and not too boomy (unlike another top competitor)

Price is a bit steep. No longer THX certified like their previous version. No digital decoding. Not too reliable considering I've had to replace my set twice in less than 3 years

i've had this system for over 2 and a half years, still going strong, no problems or anything. great sound quality in games, music, and dvds

pricey, huge sub (which isn't a problem for me, but may be for some)
