Altec Lansing M812

 

Given its price—and its size—you might expect more deep bass and less distortion from the M812, but the speakers tend to falter at higher volumes.

Long wireless range. Attractive. Wall-mountable. System is expandable. Speakers can switch between stereo and mono, to act as half of a stereo pair.

Expensive. Can't handle deep bass at higher volumes. System occasionally loses sync. Poor button layout on remote control.

The look and sound of this Ipod docking system is fantastic, even when the volume is extremely high (I have been told on more than one occasion to 'turn it down' by my kids!) the sound is still really crip and clear. Extremely pleased with this and...
