Excellent machine

The secret is the maintenance of the machine. We need to clean/rince the brew group very often, grease the rails in the brew group. Don't forget to descale the machine when it tells you to do. Also, avoid too "oily" coffee beans, which can cause many...

Very reliable machine. Even if it's not a commercial model, we have this machine at my job for the last 3 years and it brewed more than 8500 coffee up to now, without any failure. I just bought another one for my home last week

Noisy machine. You will wake up everybody in the house if you make yourself a coffee very early... It could be difficult to prime the pump when you receive the machine

Saves a lot of time and mess

Hope it lasts, you can hear a lot of moving parts with the grinder, tamper, disposal, etc.

Main reason for buying was because the wife didn't like using the manual machine and kept going to the store (SB), or always asking me to make her coffee. Since then, I bet this thing has already paid for itself. I didn't mind the manual process, but...

Agree on comments about the water reservoir, it's a bit small. Also wish you could fill it without removing the whole reservoir thing. My manual machine would let me fill through an access area. Not a big deal.

Great machine

The first machine I got was missing the coffee grind adjustment know ... so I had to send it back and get another one .. which ended up only taking about 1 1/2 weeks so not too bad.

Makes great coffee, easy to use, easy to clean ... easy cappachino, etc

Refurb unit may take a couple tries to get a new one

I love this machine

The machine is very reasonable priced since it's refurbished. But most importantly it makes both excellent espresso and creamy 'caffee lungo'. I love the standby mode from which it wakes up within a minute or so ready to grind and brew really fresh...

Not really a con but when making full cups of coffee the water reservoir needs frequent refills. But that's because the machine is rather compact and there just is not enough space for a larger capacity reservoir and spent coffee.

Defective Refurbished Unit

When I buy a manufacturer refurbished product I expect it to be thoroughly inspected, tested, cleaned, and in working condition. It is expensive and time consuming to replace a defective product.

Made five cups of decent espresso.

Made only five cups of espresso before terminal failure.
