Good post-Starbucks machine.

First off, the details:

Idiot-proof operation ; It's better than Starbucks

Consistency is not there ; Developed some water issues of late

Great value for integrated espresso package. Results are decent and consistent with pressurized portafilter, but can approach perfection with optional

I'm a longtime (1996) alt.coffee lurker, although my posts have been few. I have been a homeroaster exclusively for 3-4 years now, and I have dabbled in nearly every coffee preparation method available. However, I only just recently got serious about...

High-quality integrated grinder; Deep, stable drip tray; Relatively easy to clean; Excellent espresso is possible with a bit of work

Anemic cup warmer; Pressurized portafilter reduces tweakage (see details*); Dispensing spouts are too high and can cause spatter; Grinder adjustments don't take effect immediately; Hard to completely clean grinder

If you can get it cheap, byu it because it works just ok.

When I opened tha package, the machine had already lost 3 screws - italian quality, but it worked without them too.

has a grinder on it

the look is awful (all white plastic with ugly prints on it), no cup-warmer, the thing where the steam comes out, is made of plastic

A reliable workhorse. Has been relatively problem free. Pressurized filter makes it easy to produce decent crema espresso

Can‘t maintain water temperature through the second shot. You have to stop and wait for it to heat up. Rubber gasket wore out after 1 year. They sent another and it was easy to replace
