Gopro has been the go to name in this market, but now Sony is looking for a slice of the action with their new HDR-AS15.

Until now, Sony's efforts in the element-stopping sports cam world had largely consisted of handhelds such as the Bloggie Sport HD and the waterproof
Shoots good-quality video ; Great for slow-motion ; Easy to use
Limited photo mode ; Poor app functionality
Sony's Action Cam is a confident entry into the sports camera market, that is only marred by some easily fixable blemishes.

The lens starts fogging after sometime. The memory card keeps giving issues and has to be inserted 2 or 3 times to work properly. The headband with the plastic casing feels heavy on head, and most of the time the camera tilts to back, with majority of...

Video is good ... operation through mobile phone is essential, but getting it the wireless to connect (especially the first time) is a bit fiddly. My camera came with a pack of 8 fittings, which are mostly good. Without them, it would be useless. Menu...
The still pictures are very disappointing. Very limited access to controls when the water protection casing is on. Annoying that you have to connect to a computer to to charge the battery.
