Sony FDR-X3000

The Sony FDR-X3000 action cam records optically stabilized 4K footage, but it's not as easy to use or squeeze into small places as a GoPro.

If there was ever a camera type that desperately needed optical image stabilization, it's action cams. Oddly, though, it hasn't been available until now on the new 4K-resolution Sony Action Cam X3000R and full HD AS300.

Should you get a dedicated action camera to record your exploits and holidays? This little 4K action camera by Sony should tempt you enough to ditch your smartphone camera for better footage.
